I'd give it a 7 in all catagories. Its a pretty nice car and an enjoyable drive, but I think its overpriced and over rated.

handling is okay, but OEM tires slide easily when pressed hard, suspension is soft and would hit the bump stops fairly easy. it is a nice solid package, has the looks and drives okay, not the fastest but good enough. I have the e-shift though and do not plan to add performance upgrades just yet. rating IS: 7, bimmer 3 series:6, evo:9

compared to what and how?...can't tell you how good it is unless you tell us that. If you're talking entry level luxury cars, the infiniti g35 sedan is way better, so is the acura, even the caddy is better, so is the A4. It's old and is showing its age, that's why it's getting replaced very soon.

the g35, acura and caddy have some power and good numbers but the IS looks way better. A4 no power and also shows its age.

I have driven my friends L-Tuned IS300. The car's interior is very nice, minus the gauges (they can be hard to read at a glance). It isn't the quickest car out in the market but then again Lexus came up with the IS as a daily driver not a "racecar." The suspension is smooth and absorbs most, if not all the bumps on the road. The L-Tuned's exterior is amazing and it separates it from the bunch. My friend's IS300 that I drove was a 5spd, the clutch was somewhat soft (softer than Evo-harder than VW R32). The car was very easy to drive and n my opinion it would be the best daily driver for the price.
Overall I would give this car an 8.7 on a scale from 1-20
