do these clear calipers on the X or 8/9? I assume no? And if a spacer is needed, what size did you run if you ran them on an Evo?

Warning: He is a scammer

Purchased his rims through Google pay because he appearently didn't want to go through PayPal. Paid him 2k and never received messages or return calls after

How long has it been?
Whew. A few of us are getting scammed for some big money, lately. I wonder if there's any relationship.

I feel like scammers are taking advantage of the move to the new "market place". They must have better access to find the old FS threads here that the normal user can no longer easily find.

At first, I was gonna say it's only been three days... over a weekend.. so that's no big deal.

But then I saw he was logged on yesterday, so he has definitely had time to contact you. Though I think it's normally way too soon to call someone a scammer, I can see your concern here. Especially seeing how the guy only has 30 posts (a lot are "bumps") and a 0 for iTrader.

Let's just say after many phone calls and texts he hasn't responded after he got his money through Google pay. He insisted on only using Google pay and not PayPal

Maybe. I try to get people to use Venmo so there are no fees. Google pay is super easy, once set up, so I could see the point in that. So it's possible someone would choose not to use PayPal due to fees. If you offered to pay fees then that is a non-issue. Really, it could be anything so I'm playing devil's advocate here, since it's only been three days. I.E. I had my PayPal account on hold because they wanted me to verify a bunch of info. I didn't have time so actually had to do a sale through Venmo so I could ship the part out ASAP.
The things that WOULD, however, lead me to believe the dude scammed you are:
1. He logged in yesterday, probably to check this thread. He could have replied to you by now.
2. He told you PayPal takes 21 days to get payment to him? Red flag right there. That is an all-out lie.
3. Low post count.
4. No iTrader rating whatsoever.
5. The fact that this message was posted on his profile, yesterday (unless you have more than one account):

DO NOT do purchase anything from this scammer! I sent money for a set of rims, but this person immediately stopped responding to calls/texts after. If he tells you otherwise it is a lie, be careful!
6. The fact that his original ad showd pictures of +22 wheels and now this ad, changed to +35, though the pictures WERE of the +22. When asked about the mistake he says,
no he was right my friend told me they were +22 not 35
I’m retarted , the stickers aren’t on so I was going off what previous owner told me

Yet, you can clearly see "+22" in the pics in the thread.
7. The pictures in the ad did not have his screen name on it (this is the reason for the Marketplace rule).
8. The guy hasn't been on the forum in over a year then just pops up with some random wheels for sale (not necessarily proof of a scam, but I don't trust non-regulars on the board due to being burned a lot). Before that was 2015.

Put those together and no way to I buy from this person. Hopefully Google Pay has some type of buyer protection.

That other account would be my brother. We are just trying to spread awareness that this person is out here scamming people's hard earned money and try to prevent anyone to go through this experience. Another member on this forum also reached out to me and said they too got scammed. Additionally, I've already filed a dispute with Google pay and hopefully with all the evidence ive supported them with they will make the correct decision to refund.
