Curious as to why you would want to trade when you just barely broke in the built motor? I see that all the time, and I've always wondered why. Except with a Subaru, because with them, we all know why. Lol

I don't blame you. I left and came back, also.

FWIW, that Camaro, stock, turns faster lap times than most modded Evos. I see you converted it to a drag car ,though. Not wanting make it a road race car again?
I'm not a Camaro guy and love my Evo, but a guy I know is turning laps 3-5 seconds faster than my car and he's not a great driver...I'd be hard pressed to trade that for my Evo.
Unless you just like Evos and Supras that much. I've been there, too.

Because to make more power, it's very uphill from here, on this platform.

its not converted. I have Mickey's for Mexico, but it's still N/A and killer on the track.
I'm aware that the Camaro is the better car. I just want an Evo or Supra to turn into a half-mile/highway monster. I've come to the realization that this is Dallas...we have very very straight, flat, and long highways

LOL truth. Evos are an.uphill battle, though, since they are meant to be quick and "zippy" cars. Your talking a 2L engine pushing what amounts to the aero equivalent of a brick
I can't imagine an Evo ever being all-out faster than a Supra. Too may limitations.
Supras are famous for being highway racers. Definitely better suited.
As for "converted" that was my trying to type less. LOL. I just mean the OEM engine, etc is gone so reliability and practicality then become a concern. I've seen the stock engine run solid lap after lap after lap, on pump gas, without breaking a sweat. Very desirable in a road race(ish) car.
sorry of derailing your thread. I just like talking cars LOL.

I am leaning towards Supra. But I've got a good deal on an Evo roller & 7-800whp from an Evo is enough to take care of 90% of the cars in Mexico out here. I understand with that power I could end up going through a motor every year or two, but that isn't really a concern.

As for my motor's reliability. It is far better than stock. The OEM LT1 has trash VVTI lifters, springs, pushrods, etc.
The VVTI has been deleted on this motor. The valvetrain is much stronger (and lighter), and the camshaft is more efficient for any racing application. The pistons/rods are the same bob-weight as the factory setup, just much stronger, including coated/better bearings. And Don Hardy has been building LS/LT motors forever, his rep precedes him.
The springs just need to be changed every 20k miles or so, to deal with the extra lift.
I wouldn't hesitate to beat on this thing all day at the track.

don't have any slips. Trapped 102 in the 1/8th with a soft launch.
For a N/A manual car, it moves.
