Description:
As the title says, I have a RRE Stealth Exhaust (for Evo 8/9) that I am looking to trade for another exhaust. I dont want any money involved in this trade, just a straight swap for whatever you have. I had a Tomei Ti exhaust before and it was too loud for my liking (didnt have a resonator). So I am looking for an exhaust with a resonator and a muffler that is louder then the RRE and doesnt drone. Yes, I know this is the opposite of what most CA guys are doing haha.
Note - Must fit JDM bumper!
Car is currently located in north San Bernardino. If you have the exhaust on your car, you can bring it over and we can do the swap at my house. Let me know what you have!

I actually have 2 different cat backs. One is Vishnu V400 Perrin and the other is brand new in box (unopened) HKS Carbon Fiber muffler with titaium tip cat back. I don't know if HKS has drone since it's still in a box. To me, the Perrin drones at 80mph, but maybe that's because I'm old and sensitive to noise. Lol

I am looking to trade just the cat back portion of the exhaust. Dont want to get rid of my HFC or DP. The RRE will bolt up to any stock location cat/test pipe. Its also a true 3" pipe with no taper at the cat connection.
Does the Perrin have a resonator in it? Cant find much info on it since it looks like its discontinued. I will have to take a look at the HKS system as well.

BenIX - The RRE is by no means a silent exhaust. It is quiet but not stock quiet. It has a deep rumble throughout the entire RPM range. The tone or volume really doesnt change with RPM. It is quiet enough that I doubt you will be bothered by the popo. I currently have a 2.75" DP and a Perrin 100 cell cat. Those 2 combined do make it noticeably louder then if running the stock cat and DP. Put it this way, I can have a normal conversation with someone sitting in the backseat where as when I had the Tomei on it, not so much.
I cant comment on how loud the Buscher exhaust is since I have never heard one in person. I will text you tonight and if you are out this way sometime soon, I will gladly take you for a spin around the block to hear it. I can tell you that I picked up 5whp with the RRE over the Tomei. I think this is because the Tomei necks down to about 2.75" at the cat where the RRE does not.
And another note - I do have the old exhaust tip that was cut off. It was for the USDM bumper. So if anyone did want to use it on a US bumper, you just need to weld the tip back on. Be warned, its pretty ugly.

I just made a quick video so you guys can actually hear it. Ya it's from a cell phone so it's not the best but you get the point. Notice that my fuel pump is louder then the exhaust for the most part. If you have an aftermarket pump, you know how loud that is. It is quieter then the video makes it seem but its definitely not silent.
