I'm not bashing lancers or anything else, I'm bashin all the wannabes, even all the Evo owners buying JDM taillights or MR taillights when they're not MRs, or the worst is the MR badge...just seems like a waste of money to me...and yes, you're right on a strip, you could probably out drive me in my own car, I suck on the strip and would probably run a 15, but the Evo and the "strip" don't mix well anyway

Plus, I didn't "bash" your car, I bashed the guy in the yellow Lancer with the vtec sticker's car....I agree, taking a car a full second faster is a big accomplishment, especially since the Lancers are pretty cool

And third, maybe I just have so much anger towards Evo wannabes cuz of one at my school who was INCREDIBLY annoying, and somehow thought his stock '00 Lancer with an Evo wing could somehow beat me...and constantly was bugging me about racing...so, sorry I stereotyped cuz of one dumb*** at my high school, but it got really old, really fast, and he woulda done better spending the 450 dollars on a performance mod rather than an Evo wing

Also, not everyone can afford to buy that wing instead of performance parts. and it looks to me like Wad's lancer looks like it should, unless he hasn't updated his pictures in awhile...kudos to you Wad for having a nice looking 16 second Lancer...my ex-girlfriend had an old OZ like that in silver, it was pretty nice

My first night in VA (moved from Huntington Beach, CA), I saw a Neon (not even SRT-4) with a HUGE wing... Domestic rice (Uncle Ben's?) is prevalent in VA.

I guess this means I shouldn't put a MIVEC badge on my S2000...

 

LOL, ok, I thought mine sounded a bit meaner than his...so im sorry for that giant paragraph too...anyway...Neons are ultra ricey all the time here, sorry, I'm off topic, that guy should still take the VTEC sticker off his car...more so than the Evo wing...as for your S2000 130...debadge it except the s2000s on the side, and buy the JDM headlights, then it looks freakin awesome

The vtec has no business on his car. I simply was mentioning that the wing was a factory option in 01/02 before the EVO came.

1. Lancer's aren't VTEC'ed....And thank God they aren't.

2. Evo's are great cars, but they are not the greatest cars in the world. Don't ego trip.

3. Some people modify and mimic other cars because they can't afford what they really want. This is where the Evo wing on the Lancer comes into play. Other people have other reasons. It doesn't matter. What matters is when people lose their grip on reality and put Honda crap on a Mitsu product. Who the hell own's a Lancer and aspires to own a Civic?

4. Don't ever say things like "I can outdrive you in your own car" when you have no idea of the skill level or the history of the other person. You generally look like an *** when you do that. Especially don't talk that way about drag racing an Evo. What the hell is "catered" to you in that aspect? You don't even get to utilize the Evo's suspension or brakes.

But for the record the lowering springs lowered the front quite a bit helping with my launches and I am sure the Evolution suspension would help even more. There is a lot less weight transfer during launches and I have the video analysis to prove it.

I never said that the wannabe stuff LOOKED bad, you can have something look awesome and be a really stupid thing at the same time, this is America....look at....I'll think of something....oh I got one, the big huge spoilers on the back of all the civics, s2000s, trucks, etc....looks awesome, doesnt really prove much benefit over a much smaller more toned down one....again, sorry, cuz this may or may not seem like I'm being a hypocrite to y'all...The kid at my high school who's Lancer has a dark blue matching Evo 8 spoiler...looks pretty dang awesome, but that spoiler does absolutly jack for his car...same thing there...if you have the money (or the want to spend the money to change the looks instead of making it faster) be my guest and put whatever you want on your car

How about this. My car is red. The OEM chrome lights look tacky on any color Evo except for black or silver. The Evo 7 tail lamps look pink on a red Evo. The MR lamps look better for my application, in my opinion.

And the Evo is plenty fast in stock form for most people...Then again....Mine's not stock.....

How the hell did we get so friggin' far off topic? Anyway, VTEC is ghey. End of discussion.
