You hate when Evo owners say that if you want an Evo you should just buy an Evo...I'm not quite sure what's wrong with that....but ok, sorry bout that too

And no, I'm not a teacher, I graduated last year, but that kid still goes there

no, evo is paid for and insured on a much cheaper family car on a family insurance plan so insurance costs less but im still insured on any car that my parents name is on so we put them on the Evo...so technically it's their car...

I'm fresh out of High School (sort've, I'm 20) and I'm paying for my '05 MR and the insurance (which is 380/mo. . . . ouch )

I think anyone who can get their hands on one of these cars should be able to. When people ask me if they can drive me car (friends and the like) I almost always say yes, because I think no one should be without a car like our. Except maybe drunk drivers and whatnot (obvious exception.)

People can modify their cars however they want, because yes it's a free country. But people can also ridicule people's cars however they want too, because it's a free country. I get crap from Porsche owners all the time ('cept my uncle Bob, '67 911) about how ugly the back of my car is, and how much it looks like an econobox car. 'course, the back of my car is all they ever see, so fk'em. If people are hating on your car, fk'em too. Enjoy your cars, but seriously, V-TEC on a , that's fuggin' retarded.

People should be proud of the cars they have (V-TEC or not )

I never thought my thread would get so much attention! Haha… Last night at AMC theaters at Potomac Mills I saw three hooked up Lancers... all of which made me happy. One had all sorts of stickers on it but still looked really good, they did have girls shoes in the back seat… if you are a girl and in my area by the way PM me haha. I respect their car mainly because he/she was representing companies they were using (there was a huge RRM sticker on the trunk) the other two Lancers were moded without rice as well.

My only objection with the Yellow Lancer I saw, the one I took a pic of, was that his/her wing was busted and the fact that they had a Vtec badge on the trunk. By putting that badge on the trunk it just shows their lack of knowledge about our cars. The wing being busted just needed to be fixed... I have no problem with wings what just add drag and are there for just show, my problem is with someone that puts a wing on their car and thinks it will make them faster at 30mph.

Fox

PS- I got nothing but respect for Evos, but this isn't always reciprocated back to us Lancer owners. We need to not generalize about each other and make a genuine attempt to respect, maybe not always like, what each individual is doing to their car. Oh and Wadad, you the man bro! A 16 sec Lancer kicks ***. Guys like Wadad on the Lancer end of the boards really make this place what it is. You are constantly giving good advice and sharing your triumphs with us guys that aspire to a level that you are at. Good job man.

Just let people do whatever they want to their car, as long as they don't crash and kill somebody.

Look at it this way, the more people who look ridiculous, the better you look

Then again, they'll propagate the stereotype...

I'm not making fun of you or anything, but I need clarification. You are essentially driving around in your parents EVO?

I'm sure it wasn't an evo I saw. It was an OZ badge on the back as well and the wing wasn't carbon fiber. How's it being a teacher by the way, thought I'd ask since I'm thinking about becomming a teacher?

You know, I've never seen anyone put a MIVEC badge on a lancer. I'm anti badging all the way, I prefer a clean look on cars.

Teaching is okay...but I definately like high school better than elementary. No experience in Middle School though..
