Want to build a hot track car.

I have a 04 Evo. I am going to be moving to the Yorktown, VA area somewhere at the end of Sept or early Oct. I want to drop alot 'O' dough into the car and get it super hot for the track, as well make it aesthetically pleasing. I want everything to be done at once. I am talking all the marbles, engine, electronics, suspension, externals, etc. I was wondering what the best shops are in the surrounding areas. A list would be nice so I can do some research and get some phone numbers. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Yorktown, huh? What part? Is that near Bad News or Williamsburg? A friend of mine and his dad are building a place on Busch Properties where they plan on restoring cars and such, but his dad owns a Viper and a Winston Cup car, so he knows a bit about racing. If you don't care about leaving your car in the DC area you can go to AMS or Mach V.

What mods are you looking for? A track car does not constitute anything crazy - you can get away with a really good suspension setup and engine upgrades such as camshafts.

Have you ever been at the track before? if not you must go first before you touch it... Just bleed your brakes and go for now.

I go to the track and I know enough.

Yeah I have done alot of racing here in hawaii. I have both dragged and autocross, super laps etc. I love the track more than just dragging, I mean the Evo is just fun to drive. I have had some friends tell me AMS is the best so I think I am going to with them. Like I said I will not be in the area until the end of sept, but I will have my shopping list ready!

Do you know how much coin you plan on dropping? There are some really nice road courses out here with sponsored events galore. Also quite a few clubs running auto-x. We have a few nice local shops around the area as well.

All I know is for me: so many options, so little money
