I am looking for anyone who drives an EVO, ES, RALLY, OZ, anyone who drives a lancer to meet up with me this saturday to show some of this import crowd in Fredericksburg that lancers are worth it. I just moved down here and all I keep hearing is that Lancers (i mean all lancers EVO's included) are pieces of ****. Go to your second light and make a right by the Star Bucks and Wachovia Bank. Wall Mart will be at the top of the hill. I will be meeting on the left hand side of the parking lot. Sorry, but Lancers _ARE_ pieces of ****. That's just how it is. Evos are in no way included in that statement. There is no comparison between the 2 cars whatsoever. Mitsu just happened to use the Lancer platform/name for the Evo after it moved from the Galant. Some people may think that Evos are also pieces of shlt, but that's just ignorance. They find out otherwise when they get smoked at the track (drag, auto-x, or road course). Taking a bunch of non-Evos to show that Lancers aren't crap is not going to work at all...

 

Guess that means Warrtalon wont be there this weekend

you know lancers might be a piece of ****. I am a mitsibishi car lover, and i have a group of guys that are going to go with me this weekend. Evos, ES rallys OZ. i have buddys that have evos, but not all lancers are ****. And by the way i have seen some evos get there *** hand to them too.

I used to live on staples lane near the corner of spriggs and minnieville. there's a couple of us regular ol' lancer guys here... our group that meets up consists of fox, me, and paul/jotun. tommorrow afternoon we're installinng coilovers on fox's oz.... i'd be down for the meet on saturday but i'm dead broke and im saving my money for the drive to shenandoah on sunday.. you going?

 

Quick question: How are the Evos, OZs, Ralliarts, and ESs going to change the minds of those that think these Mitsu's are crappy by just showing up?

It's hard to change the minds of haters. They normally have alterior motives for hating on a car than the performance aspect, aesthetics, or build quality. Just let them hate. It could prove frustrating, just to show up and have them hand down insults without any kind of reasoning.

 

well there are a lot of things that go on down here, and racing is one of them. I am just asking if anyone wants to come down and hang out. If you want to repesent your ride and race go ahead if not you still could come down and have a good time. ITs all up to you.

 

You said you wanted to "show them different." Well, it's not gonna happen. The more non-Evos that show up, the more this sentiment will be reinforced. We have a great crew of Lancer guys in the DcEvoClub as you've already heard from N1te, but the cold, hard truth is that the regular Lancers have _NO_ redeeming qualities. Especially the ES, which is nothing but a rental car. The Ralliart comes close to having a little performance, but it gets owned in every aspect by its direct competitor, the Sentra SE-R.

You said you've seen plenty of Evos get their asses handed to them. What does that have to do with Lancers being pieces of shlt?

 

well you know some people they just think way to highly of themselves. If you would of came down you might of had a good time. I am not going to sit here and defend myself about my car. We all had a good time saturday, hope you guys have fun on ride sunday to skyline.
