HKS F-CON V-Pro Tuning in MD/DC/VA

I have found the HKS F-con Pro for a great price.

Before I consider buying this unit, I wanted to know if there are any authorized tuners in the MD/DC/VA area who can install and tune.

The reason I'm looking at this unit opposed to the AEM EMS is because you can pass emissions with it and once tuned you just leave it alone, with no worries with cold start etc...

Feel free to leave any opinions or where I can go for the tune.

Thanks

It's probably cheap for a reason. I haven't heard of anyone using this on the Evo and haven't heard of any shops who know how to tune it.

I would point you back to Turbotrix or maybe Mach V, since they are adept at tuning several devices.

HKS F-con Pro is a full stand-alone. It doesn't use OBDII like piggy-backs do, so you're still in the same boat as you would be with AEM EMS

I think that particular engine management requires to be tuned only by the seller or people who sells this device..I am talking about the authorized seller or dealer of the product.. I don't know the reason for that..

I would give some shops a call who sell or deal with HKS products.. they might have some idea about it

The V Pro is a full engine management standalone but still retains the stock ECU for non-engine functions and inspection is not a problem, unlike the AEM.

Evo Police, you might have gotten the ECU for cheap, but does that include the EVO specific harness? Or the sensors that you will need to run D-Jetro? Just the box is not going to cut it.

I personally had my V Pro purchased, installed and tuned at Pruven Performance in Milford, CT and have han absolutely ZERO issues with it. I believe in your neck of the woods, Mach V is the Certified Pro dealer for HKS.

Altered Atmosphere is a Pro Certified shop in MD and they do tuning. Can they tune the F-CON V-Pro? That I'm not sure about.
