dosent the evo NEED the key with the chip in it or whatnot to start up......thats what my dealer told me so i dont see how they could hotwire it or whatnot....he said even with a key that is cut the same exact way it wouldnt work without the chip.....unless he was lieng which dealers like to do as we all know

da,m thats sucks man. What type of alarm did you have. I am assuming either code or dei, since they have the GPS tracking system, which is a badass unit. I know all of the alarms I install have a starter kill relay built in. And Did you have a remote start installed. You can bypass the immobilizer system without having a key with a chip in it....but damn I didnt think many people knew about that.

goodluck, looks like I need to order the GPS at dealer discount!!

HOLY SH*T Jon! That's terrible. I'll keep an eye out around my way. Let me know if I can help in any way.
BTW did you call the cops and/or some tow yards around the area?

Sorry to hear the bad news. I’ll keep an eye out in Columbia and the Ft Meade area but the next time you see your Evo it will most likely be wrecked on the back of a flat bed. I didn’t believe my insurance agent when he told me that STI’s and Evo’s aren’t really stolen for parts until I got The Glen Burnie Ricer Flyby (TGBRF) at a stop light by some 16 year old driving my car on route 2. Anyway about three days later I found out he introduced my STI to a curb, my STI introduce him to a wheelchair and I got an Evo . So it worked out pretty well for me and that kid got what was coming to him.
