We build our own motors unless our customers request an engine built by someone else such as Buschur. Heads we offer a couple different options. We just sent 2 heads out today to one company, meanwhile we just put a Buschur head on our ongoing build for a customer in your area.

For everyones info as well...
We are planning to come up on the weekend of the 24-26 of September. We have a sale thread offering some crazy discounts for anyone wanting to get ready for the tune day. Please Pm for info.

dang wish I would have known I just bought an ACT clutch two weeks ago. just ordered a recirc fitting for my blow off and some hoses, so I should be good for tuning when ya'll come up, and maybe you won't get so mad at the numbers this time for my car. they should be more around where you want them except for the cams, just don't have the money for those at the moment. can't wait for ya'll to get up here again though.

No worries. We're glad to make another trip up there. When all the details are more thoroughly worked out, we'll make a thread for the dyno day Looking forward to seeing you guys again and maybe this time we'll have a chance to just hang out with you guys for a bit the day prior.....

wow dude, that really sucks man. wish you the best of luck getting it back. I don't think you need anything legal to happen. Just pay what you owe him and get the car towed to another shop

7 1/2 months?? for a build??? thats unheard of... was that partially your fault??? what are the circumstances that a company could not turn around a rebuild in a month as a worst case... Deployed??

What does the contract you have with them say, or was there nothing in writing?

i would do something. first go to BBB. then report them to the locals. You have to look out for yourself.

lttldggr you might be able to get them for fraud but I would talk to legal or a lawyer to make sure. On a lighter note I contacted CP-E about making the gauge pod I talked about earlier and am waiting on a response.

first took it in because wouldnt turn over etc, everything was wrong with the internal engine. so they take it apart, 2 cracked pistons, 2 blown rings, oil pump had apparently seized up. they suggested to rebuild it to a 2.3L stroker and said it would only cost 4k. so okay, do it. continuously keep saying they had to send the black back to the machine shop because they messed up some part of the machining process. then midway 'oh your clutch is almost burnt out to the point of me saying its not street safe' yet ive had no issues with the clutch, but whatever new disc for 250 okay. april, its all back, they put in pistons, rods, studs. crank, oil pump, new belts, clutch disc, and seals and whatnot. gave them my own headgasket i already had to use for it. drive it home, girl followed me still said it smelled like burnt oil. and turning the car over made the sound of metal rubbing together to start up. shop claims its the starter, so i go pay 200 for a starter from stm along with some new spark plugs. go change out the starter, dont look bad, but what do i know right? installed the new one, pulled out the old spark plugs.....3 of them matched. 1 was different from the others. look down into my cylinders, oh look theres still oil in cylinder 3 like in the beginning of my car issues. however now theres a layer of oil in all 4 cylinders. so threw in my new 7ex or whatever it was. tried starting it, still the same nasty sound, and still smoking. call east coast, they sent a tow truck and came picked it up back to the shop (1 week after i had picked it up). now they claim the sound was due to the flywheel not being surfaced/it doesnt match the clutch disc. they said the oil was because i had not asked for them to do work on the top section of the motor (head? im not mech savvy). that the inlet/exhaust valve seals were off and need machined. and about every other week i hear "it'll be done by the end of this week"

they claim the reason they didnt do all that the first time was due to my limited budget, however last i knew if you get a broken car, and told to fix it so it works properly, you dont give it back to them 4k dollars later with it still half broken.

as for it being a month and a half since they had 'all the parts' yet continue to somehow keep getting the wrong seals from their supplier, tells me they have a f*cked up supply chain. not to mention the owners word means absolutely nothing.
sad thing is i have 2 ppl in my work center that were going to take their car there. one i could give a **** less, he's a douche and deserves being ****ed over but still told them both dont go there, its shady, and they'll rip you off. the dumbass one went spent 3-4k on a set of 22" rims, and a sound system. the other guy didnt take his car there after having talked to them.
was told east coast said 1k up front for somehow a 4k dollar flate rate job. yah, tell me bout it.

sorry for the story, but it tells u a lil more how pathetic it is. as for going to legal, gotta make appointments which suck. and wont represent you, only give advice. and if/when i do end up getting a lawyer, i'll likely go after the dealership AND the auto shop.

east coast and auto elite work together. somehow screwing over many. your not the first one yet not enough people are reporting it so you either let it happen or go talk to someone. talk to a local lawer. you get it taken care of. report to the BBB and then hit up Sage auto or even All Aspects they would get you better then well you can fill in the blanks.
