There should not be any drilling involved. There is a hole, plugged with a rubber grommet, on the passenger side close to where the cat is located. If the bung is located further up the downpipe there is another hole in the firewall he can use if the wiring he has is long enough.
Generally speaking a wideband install should be pretty easy. Don't forget to calibrate the wideband if needed.
Edit: I am assuming he has a 8 or 9, not sure about the 10s.

Dont suppose theres any interest in getting some people together sometime this month? Maybe take a cruise somewhere, food, install, whatever. Just bored with work, looking to liven things up.
