Hello to all! I posted in the newbie forum but wanted to say hello to those locally as well. I just got an 08 Evo!! I am totally new and don't even have a set of tools (getting those this weekend). I will try to answer my own questions first by doing searches, but will appreciate any suggestions or advice u may have (its my first turbo). I am anxious to read, listen, and learn. I will be changing my oil for the first time ever in my life this weekend. The cap says Mobile so that is what i am getting. It did not recommend what kinda filter so ill search forums for that advice. Anyway...just wanted to say hello to all...i am sooooooooo excited to be here!
and they sale it at courthouse automotive right by the court house or get it online.. check this thread pretty frequently cause we try together as much as we can to hangout and stuff

If you want to run Amisol contact evox2nr. I run brad penn which you can get at all aspects. The stock oil filter is fine so just buy a mitsu filter. And welcome. We have a great evo x technical expert in the area so he could help you with a lot of stuff.

Yup, that was me. I burned up two of my tires - the outside ones on those long fast turns got messed up pretty hard. Wondering if you had the same result

Thx so much all! I will try to find this amsoil, and run by mits to get a filter. Is the filter hard to get off? I work out regularly but am certainly not a bodybuilder (icky). Also, i am confused about the drain. How long should I let it drain? Why not let it drain overnight? Why not just let out the oil after it sits all night and has cooled and gathered at the lowest point? Am I obsessing? Not looking forward to getting hot oil all over me!

Don't let Will help you change your oil. He sprayed hot oil all over my face after the car had only sat for 5min. It was hot as $hit. he even managed to fill my ear with oil. Thanks Will
