So has anyone ever had a wastegate get stuck open? I start up, sounds like a horrendous exhaust leak, and the dump is putting out a good steady flow of exhaust. This randomly happened 2 days after a track day.

check your carter pin if you are eternally dumping a stock location wastegate. the arm could of simply popped off the wastegate flapper.

It shouldn't move because it is under pressure. How much preload do you have on the wastegate? You may not have enough.

I practiced changing my tire today...successfully I might add. One question: does anyone use the wheel locky thing? I am so afraid of losing the key so my gpa suggested replacing with a regular bolt. Advice? Also i found out BJ's in Virginia Beach has an air pump that is quite handy and anyone can use it. You dial in your poundage, and it will stop there automatically. Fun!

I can give you 4 lug nuts if you want. I hate using locks because of an issue I once had where the key stripped...

That is so sweet of you, but I would insist on paying you the going rate for them. Also, is it reasonable to expect i can change my oil and fix that vacuum line being discussed in the general forums? Its an urgent message about possible leaks.

Don't worry about the lugs... the stock ones don't do me any good since I can't use them with my rims.

The vaccuum line (for the fuel pressure regulator) I think you are talking about can be fixed with a zip tie in about 5 seconds.

If you mean trash can tie like a twisty one then no, its gotta be a zip tie that locks into place but pretty much any auto or hardware store sells them.

Invest in a bunch of zip ties they come in handy in a lot of cases. Evo is famous for vacuum leaks.
