Long story short, spark plug melted and compression check didn't come back favorably. So can any of you guys recommend a place to have some engine work done?

Avoid Turbo Trix!!! AMS, ISP or Agile are really good shops

Going for a stroker?

I had my head resurfaced @ Alderman racing in Wilmington. They have been around for 20+ years and did great job on it. They did tell me they have worked on a few High HP evo's.

 

Im in West Chester as well. Ive gone to Car Versions 2 from day one. They do a great job and its a great group of guys. They are in Delaware, but only about a 30min drive from West Chester

 

Atlantic Motorsport specializes in Evos and has some nasty ones. They know what they are doing. The only downfall is that its a 176mile drive (a little over 2 hours) from West Chester. I was down there this past weekend to get my car tuned and reflashed. TurboXS is right next door to them.

 

I actually went to their shop as well (never got any work done) but they seemed like a well-organized shop and not too far from W.C. (prob. a 45 minute drive).
