I can't make it but just wanted to ask - they have car meets in Security Blvd? Sounds like a good way to get mugged/shot/raped.

im really not sure, i never read much about that law, and we are not taught it in the police academy. As far as I know, the sound just has to be reasonable and not disturbing to other motorists. I know that people think we are out to get the ricers, but most cops I know could care less. I have armed robberies and carjackings to worry about, then again, I work the city line so it maybe where im posted. Im the wrong guy to ask, Im not a big traffic enforcement guy. I maybe give about 1 speeding ticket per month, and Ive never pulled anyone over for sound or exhaust. Ive only written one repair order in my career and it was for a windshield that was so cracked it should have been in the front seat.

I stopped going because of all the ricers that show up to race their 14 and 15 second cars, and Baltimore County's Finest are always showing up and getting off on kicking out all of the people trying to hang out, I only go to the hang outs on saturdays nights at Rossville BLVD. and Belair RD. at the K-Mart Parking lot it alot better. WHITEEVO9 if you don't mind me asking where are you a police officer? I guessing Baltimore city or south side car for the county?

I will not disclose where I work over this forum for various reasons....however I can say that most of the cops I know could care less about ur loud muffler. The thing about your muffler you probably dont realize is that it is 100% probable cause to pull u over for investigation. Police get a good amount of cases from simple traffic stops. I myself would pull someone over for a muffler if I thought they were up to no good and I needed a reason, but I don't write fix-it tickets except for safety reasons. As far as the police kicking the street racers out, yeah, sometimes its boredom, most times it citizen complaints though. I dunno why the street racers whine about getting kicked out. Even back when I actually raced instead of just parking and looking at cars, I never was mad at the police. As a street racer, you must know what you are doing is illegal and dangerous. You chose street racing as your Saturday night activity, but wont take the consequences, which aren't even that big of deal if you just get moved along. I'll be hanging around this forum for a while, anyone who wants to meet up, send a post and i'll be there if im not working, LOVE to talk cars.

bk.adams and 4G63 T... I said CAN be!!! not ALL!!! look at what I said. I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way, and I'm not being a wise ***. WhiteEvo9 I don't know if you looked at my profile but I'm in Law enforcement also. I know I'm not up to the level you are at. You're right about MOST cops don't care about mufflers and it is probable cause for investigation (No doubt there). As for the Baltimore County Police I know for a fact because alot of my friends work that post, that they have better things to do then mess with the people at the Golden Ring Shopping center concidering they are in the south-side of white marsh which is a busy post!. I would like to meet up and talk to you more, are you going to the AMS open house?

Santa, we can meet up sometime, where are you a cadet? My advice to you is to be very carefull what you say over this forum, and also be very carefull where you are hanging w/ that car and how fast you drive it. Ive seen cadets fired for less..... wont be going to AMS, im on duty that day and work part time during the evening.
