AMS Flash tune date April 28 and 29 w/dyno
^At least that is an easy fix. I dont know why this thing would throw a CEL. Hey maybe it is just some bad gas or something. I really dont think Chris wouldve even touched anything related to the P0300 dealer flash anyway so I dont know what is up with it. I guess all I can do is go to Autozone after work and pull the code and then take it from there. This sucks though.....
And Carlisle is tomorrow through Sunday so I will be out of town and unable to deal with this now till Monday.

That is an odd issue to have. What kind of clutch is it?
The reason why al wanted to know this is because he will regularly just replace whatever map you have in there with one of his. This would eliminate your dealer reflash.
I checked your files to confirm that the only thing changed were the timing, fuel and other insignificant maps unrelated to your problem.
There is always the possiblity that you do have an actual misfire as well. The car could be throwing the code in relation to an actual problem. When is the last time you changed your plugs?
thanks
chris

Must of not tightend the TB t-bolt clamp enough because it blew today. Glad I got smart and put a ratchet set in my trunk.
The plugs are the BPR7ES gapped at 25/1000 I believe. I actually didnt put those ones in so I will have to check. Good point on the wires though. I still have the stockers with 27k miles on them. What do you think?
Well the 27k on stock wires is nothing but since you said someone else installed the plugs they may have pulled on the wires instead of the boots causing some damage.
Do you have anyone around that has an evo? If so try their wires, it only takes a few minutes to swap and remember to pull from the rubber boot, never the wire itself. Also keep in mind that if you were running uber rich for any reason before the tune you may have fouled out the plugs, not hard to do with coppers.

Hmmm... I know Chris uses the latest base map from Mitsu which incorporates their most comprehensive P0300, aka random misfire, code fix. My car was getting this out of the blue after never having the issue from March of '03 to October of '06. I never saw it again after the new fix. Were the plugs or wires handled before the tune? Also do you know the actual code that is coming up? I can't remember if you had stated earlier or not. Here's a great deal on the creader I've been using for a long time now.
