GTLive @ VIR Oct 6-7 including the EvolutionM Evo Fan Fest!

GTLive is coming back to Virginia International Raceway October 6-7. New for this year is the EvolutionM.net fan fest including our own coral and events. This is a great opportunity for those east coasters that can't make it out to vegas for the national meet. On hand will be the EvoM Project Evo which will also be competing in the time attack. The weekends events include:

Grand Am Koni Cup race
GT Sim Race
Redline Time Attack
Tarzan Lap Battle
XDL Stunt Riding
Falken Drift Experience
US Drift Shootout
BF Goodrich Karting Zone
GTLive Rally-X

Register here and do not forget to select EvolutionM as your fan fest. Also, post here if you are coming or competiting

All i got to say is Evom is a ****in joke! Compared to the Suby guys. Nissan guys..... Even the damn mazda guys... I pulled into the paddock and there wasnt even any parking because it was taken up by trailers in the evo area.... Kinda sad i was hoping the turnout would be better... Perhaps i need to buy a subaru because i think i talked to them more than evo owners....

So true dude. So true. Most of the guys out there didn't talk, haha. Though I did talk to a few cool owners, but EvoM isn't a joke.

There was SO many Subbys there, dear god they were worse then the amount of modified hondas I see on a daily basis. I couldn't get many other Evos to park next to mine, but it kicked ***. I have some pictures that I still need to upload.

I wouldnt say evoM is a joke. Its not the site, it s the group of owners and their tendancies. With exceptions, I would say the subaru owners in general are more community oriented and more likely to attend meets and in larger numbers. Even more so than then, Mini owners love to gather. Evo owners seem to gather on a smaller more local level. Its just the culture amongst this type of car at the moment. There are always exceptions though, but I have noticed this. This is not to say that evo owners suck, jsut a lower tenancy to meet in large groups or travel to d so.

There was soooo much to do this year anyways than to bish about how many evo's didn't show up. I was so tired from all the stuff they had to do that I had to stay an extra day to catch up on sleep before driving back!

Paying an entry fee for everyone on our crew and having no prize money was a real let down. I don't think we'll be back in 2008 if this is the case again. I don't want to be a poor sport about things but doing sim race laps to help out, paying entry for everyone and having no payout, even for top 3 places was a little disappointing.

Not that we expect payout for Time Attack racing but when the precident was set in 2006 with a $1500 payout for 1st, the bar was high.
