Places for Oil service

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone new of a dealership that was good and charges a fair price to do oil changes. I don't have the time nor, space or equipment to do it on my own. I saw that a lot of people referred places in northern MD, but I am in NOVA. Was wondering if there are any good places around here. I heard a lot of people saying Stolman (However you spell it) was no good. How much you guys think is a fair price for oil change from a dealership.

You're running synthetic, so I'd expect anything from $45-$65 for an oil change. I understand you don't want to do it yourself, but honestly it will cost you about $25-$30 to do yourself. It's your call. I don't know of any places in your area, but any Mitsu dealer will due, just make sure to tell them to change the drain plug washer. Some places like skimping on that.

Yeah, the first and only time I ever had my oil done at the dealer it costed me about $70.

Since you have a IX, don't they do free maintenance? I got it with my 04. Never used it once though.

Hey guys.. Thanks for the info. Yeah. I defintely wouldn't mind changing the oil myself but I live in apartment so I don't have the equipment to do it, let alone store it somewhere. Trying to buy a house which should make maintenence on my car a lot easier. Thanks.

Buy the fluid and filter and take it to a Super Wal-Mart or the like... They usually charge about $10.00

If your worried about where to take the oil, almost any AutoZone will take the used oil off your hands for free . As for equipment, I don't think you'll need anything other than a jack and stands, ratchet, oil filter gripper, a catch pan and some kind of container to carry the used oil in to AutoZone for dumping. I'm not trying to harp it or convince you btw, just wanted to let you know what your options are.
