Driving to DTM BBQ from Hampton Roads Area
Good Day all! I'm planning on driving up to the DTM Dyno day/ BBQ on the (early) morning of Saturday the 12th (next Saturday). I'm coming from Newport News, VA. Not sure of my exact route yet but probably 64 West to 295 to 95 into DC and whatever Google maps says from there! LOL If anyone is interested in cruising up with me then PM me. Not looking staying the night but might consider it if the crowd is right! Hope to hear from some of you throughout the next week.

Depending on your desire, I'd suggest taking 17 from Yorktown (64W)...wide open, i.e. not a lot of traffic. From there take Rte 3 to 95 Nth. I take this each time I head down to VA Beach.
If you feel like a twisty road en route, take 619Nth, just outside Quantico Marine base, to 234Nth. Then take that to 66E and jump off on 28Nth and then 50W. I like this road, about 10 miles long, due to the twists and turns. It's especially fun on my Harley Ultra. Speed limit is 45, but 55-60 is fine, since if you go any faster you might get airborne on some of the sharp hills!!!
If you're in a rush, take 64/295/95/66/28/50.
Your choice.
Give me yell and I might jump on the convoy as you head up. I'm in Stafford, just off of 95.

cool thanks for the route info. Keep this rolling and let your Evo buddies know. Hey Biggie did your buddies drive your car to Wal-Mart last weekend? If they did I think I can fix your idle problems. Let me know.

I just checked the weather report and looks like rain for that day. I am planning on going regardless of weather. Hope all of you still want to go and the rain doesn't dampen your spirits. LOL

Although Nick will probably chime in...he said he'll have a covered area (awning, etc) in the event of inclement weather. At least that's what he said yesterday while we were working on my car....
DTM BBQ - April 12 (Saturday) 2008
So, is everyone still coming up this weekend?
As of 3pm today they're (weather.com) still predicting 40% chance of showers, but things will still go on, rain or shine.
I got my car back from DTM the other day and I'm ready to roll!
