New 06 IX MR owner (VA Beach) Cheers =)

Well, I really didn't want to spend this much, but the deal was too good to pass up and it seems pristine evo's are extremely hard to find these days.

GG Evo IX MR - All stock. 1 owner - all in Texas - just shipped over here. 42k miles on the odo.

Picked this bad boy up for 21k + taxes (21.95).

Seems like a hell of a deal considering an "excellent" dealer conditioned KBB value is 27K.

Since it's all stock, I'm just going to be starting with affordable handling/suspension mods. rear strut bar, probably a new air intake, Maybe an exhaust (would like more of a growl... I am a former STi owner after all). Any affordable reccomendations to start with?

Let me know what you guys think.
- Erich

That was strange. Edited the link, that should work hopefully.

Thanks.

Hah, with my current budget I can't afford to go throwing money at new parts. Hopefully I can pick up some good used stuff locally.... though the Local for sale forums seem to be pretty dead.

Go stop by a shop in Norfolk called SAGE Auto. They have hooked me up on all my parts. They are good guys.

I agree. If you can't afford quality just wait around until you can. Minor suspension mods aren't that expensive so you can start there. There are some fine exhaust systems available for the VIII/IX, Trust Ti (if you can find one), JIC, Greddy Ti and the Fujitsubo pieces are nice to name a few. Congrats on the buy.

I didn't have it shipped over, the dealer selling it did (they bought in a dealer auction so they say)

Yeah definitely. Do they happen to have an aftermarket part like an ALK with these cars like the impreza's do? (Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit)
