Settle your dispute with each other.

kthxbi
And there are even more EVOs that run 12s. Not every EVO has ridiculous amount of mods on the car or runs 10s (especially the newer Xs where people are just getting into modding).

BTW, is our 60' still the record for the 6? Or did someone get a little quicker off the line?

Well it takes more than a few bolt-ons.

I would have done it with intake, fmic, uicp, tbe and a tune... but I slapped a red on the car

plus there are a couple people that went 11's on stpck turbo without gutting the car on street tires too

On pump? That's a stretch IMO. EvoXs weigh 300lbs more than the older gens.. 11s isn't that easy on pump gas+stock turbo.

Sure. You'll always have annomalies out there. That doesn't mean everyone can do it though (or every car).

I was running 12.17's on pump with intake, fmic (stock piping), tbe, and a tune (stock rev limit). If I removed my spoiler( have the high one w/ aero kit) and had my uicp and bpv I would have done it... There is another guy on here close to 11's on stock turbo, but he went fpred also.

It's not necessarily about annomalies, just people doing three key things like take off the spoiler, good 60' and running out 4th (need a high rev limit)...

So far and hopefully it will be taken down this weekend as i am in search of a 1.6 but we''ll see. I have not driven the car in over a year while the car was being built at P3!! just got it up and running back in NOV and just recently got it pretty decent enough to run it at the track.

When i ran the 12.6 is was untuned. Jason through some BS tune at it and it NEEDS to be revised. We should be working on that this weekend. I am also still running the CPE intercooler!!! I have a lot of things that i still need to do but this is how it runs currently.

If it were that easy, every car would be doing it.

If you look at the EVO X drag racing thread (over 20+ pages), you'll see that over the course of 2 years and several cars, not many have gone 11s (with the setup you claim). In fact, I can count them with my 1 hand.

That's an anomaly to me because it's not the norm. If you believe YOUR car is an anomaly - that's cool. But I wouldn't say, in general, that ANY X can do the same thing because your car can. All cars are different.

Charles,

While it wasn't custom tuned, it wasn't so out-of-tune that your car wasn't performing well. You put 3gals of race gas in the car to supress the knock because of high AFRs. I would not say that your car was crippled to the point where if it *was* tuned (with the same setup), you'd shave over .6 tenths off your time to get into the 11s... not likely bro.
