Does anyone in the maryland or northern virginia have a valve spring compressor tool that they could lend me for a day or two?

The universal one you can get from autozone? NOT universal. Make sure you're getting your hands on the one that bolts to the head or w/e.

the autozone one will work if you pull the head, and make a custom "tool". Basically we took a 3/8" deepwell, cut out two chunks so that we could get tools in it, and it worked.

think the part new only costs like 50 bucks.

Just buy that and your done. I know we had one at LaScuola when I worked there, tool is awesome and definitely worth the money.

Either way your also going to need a leak-down tester to be able to apply air pressure to the cylinders so the valves don't fall.

I'd be glad to help out, it's not too hard to do, just time consuming. Send me a PM if you need anything
