I installed my Injen CAI myself, took about an hour and a half, also did my B&M short shifter myself, that took about 30 mins. I had my exhaust custom done at Meineke in Ellicott City (I recommend you go somewhere else...) and that took them about 2 hours. Put all my bulbs in myself, that was real easy. Did all my stereo work myself and alltogether prob put 3 or 4 hours into that.
Shmoo: yea its the shopping center right by River Hill High School with the McDonalds and Giant and Subway and all that. I'm there all the time too.
As for shops... in Columbia right across from Dobbin center there are two places, Metro Motorworks and Audio Connection. I've heard good things about Metro Motorworks but I dont know about Audio Connection... my friend had catback done on his 99 maxima at Audio Connection and he said it cost him $600... thats outrageous in my opinion. Plus they put TWO resonators on it without even asking him.
Also, in Frederick there is a place called TNS Customizing that does really good tint jobs for cheap. I think thier deal is any 2 door car for $100 and any 4 door car for $130 but I'm not sure. Plus, they guarantee it for life. They do more than tint though. www.tnscustomizing.com
check this thread out too, Applej listed alot:

[EDIT]: hey I just had an idea... someone told me there is a car show at the place where Audio Connection and Metro Motorworks is this Saturday the 11th... I'm gonna be there (not entering my car, just checkin it out) so if anyone wants to come we can represent MD lancers
I heard theres supposed to be a skyline r33 there...
i'll see if i can manage to get some more details on it, i think its sponsored by Import Xpressions

i heard of that show too i saw the flyer for it when i was at audio connections in towson as far as i know they are going to be having an spl db drag and car show but i wasnt sure of the date so i ll hopefully be there
when they had the show in towson a couple weeks ago at audio connections i think registration was from 8-10 am and the show started at 9 am im pretty sure it will be the same since they were listed on the same flyer i hope im talking about the same show you guys are
damn that an early start. I am guessing that registration is only if you will be putting your car in the show correct? So if u wanna just look around, you can come in anytime? Also i was wondering what the emissions fee will be...if there is one
www.audioconnection.com has the flyer on the website
Just a correction....Its sunday not saturday LOL. I went there like a total idot and there was nothing there. So i asked the guy and he started laughing in my face and told me its sunday. I was like WTF!?!?!?!? Gosh...what a waste of gas.
HAHAH the show was pretty nice!
Pretty good cars there and the audio competition was off the hook. I think the highest was around 170 decimals!!!! The sponsered Snapan WRX was amazing. I asked the guy to rev the engine and the BOV was so freaking loud
. O by the way, I saw a silver Lancer with tinted windows that parked near my car on the top of the hill. Had about 4 ppl in it. Was it anyone here??? Looked stock
