I'm normally on the rally thread here, but wanted to let you guys know there'll be a couple stage rally evos at this year's Hyperfest. Specifically, our production awd evo 9 stage rally car will be there along with Sherrill's Evo 4! We'll also be giving ride-alongs in both these cars on Saturday, and and racing them at the rallysprint Sunday.

If you've never been to Hyperfest, it's basically every imaginable motorsport you can think of; drifting, miata/euro/american V8 road racing, 24 hours lemons, outdoor karting, with a car show/stunt shows/etc. contests, This year, they're also doing drifting ride-alongs.

Good day for evos. Took two of the overall podium slots at hyperfest rallysprint this year. For the ride-alongs, i can't believe how many EVO owners lined up to get a ride with us! Glad we got to show you guys a rally evo doing what evos were made to do!

The RallySprint was a close battle with Charlie and Jeannie Sherrill in the Evo4. Each stage consisted of 3 laps on the Bolivian rally circuit which took about 7 minutes to run. We were basically trading positions all day. At the end of stage 3, we were 10 seconds ahead. Charlie and Jeanie fought back, and managed to best us by 2 seconds on our second to last run.

We knew we had to go for it on our our last run. Amber and I buckled down in the evo and pushed hard; ended up jumping things that weren't meant to be jumped, drifting corners at the very edge, and flat footing it through some massive ruts (I think we grabbed 4th in one section where we had previously just topped out third). All in all we took a quarter of a minute off our best time to take the overall win!
