just a quick update, since i didn't get any responses to this thread, i started the install last tuesday, basically i started getting stuff out of the way like the strut bar, my catch can, manifold heatshield and the bolts on the downpipe heatshied that i could get from the top. the next day i broke the torque on 4 out of the 6 bolts i could reach from the top of the car. finally last night ups delivered my downpipe and the real install began. Got the car up on jack stands took the passenger side wheel off. Then from there you need to remove the heatshield covering the CV joint and also the black bracket holding the downpipe to the block. after that you'll have access to the 2 lower bolts on the bottom of the DP heatshield and the remaining lower bolts from the turbo to downpipe. while under the car you can also remove the cat pipe or test pipe whichever you have and separate the the o2 from the downpipe, you'll need about 20 inches of extensions and a swivel to get to the o2 to donwpipe bolts. after that just reinstall everything. i reused the turbo to o2 gasket as it was really thick metal gasket and my car only has 1500 miles.

That is quite an ordeal for a downpipe. Good work!

well it's more than the downpipe it's the o2 housing as well, the downpipe alone would be pretty simple.
