Man I hate winter. Just been having some crappy weather all around between rain, snow, wind, and cold, I don't even want to go outside lol.

Track Weekend at VIR

What's up fellow Evo's?
I just had a fun weekend at Va International Raceway (VIR) near Danville, Va! It was cold and rained on Sat., but it was nice to get out with the car guys on the racetrack!

I'm an Instructor, Time Trial'er, and racer - in my fully race-prepped Evo 8.
It gets tuned (and built) at Atlantic Motorsports - and you are right - they are the best! They are my family!

Come on out to VIR next month on the 23rd and 24th. I only have about 300 hp, but I challenge any and all Evo's to beat me on the track! lol!
(just a little challenge for fun - don't be offended!)

It would great to teach more people how to run the fast line at VIR and Summit Point!

I could possibly interested in this, you do mean March 23-24 right? Would be nice if we could get some guys together for this to cruise down (or up) I was planning on burning some vacay days in March anyways.

Yes, March 23rd and 24th I'll be instructing again at VIR.
The more the merrier - when you sign up just tell them that you heard about it from me!
The full weekend cost almost $400 - but it's worth every dime!!! Or you can do one 25 minute session with an Instructor for only $50! (But you'll wish you had paid for the whole weekend!)

Go to the regional site and look up the next even in March at VIR. You will see all the details you need there.

And please spread the word!

Sweet thanks! Will do! Do I need a rollbar for my s2k? If so I guess I'll bring the evo but it's not where I want it to be, still a great learning experience though.

You don't need a cage, a hard dog rollbar is compliant usually.

Nope, don't need a cage or a harness bar (or 4 or 5 point seatbelts). You only need that stuff when racing.
When doing HPDE's (High Performance Driver's Education or Events) you just need a helmet, long sleeve shirt/long pants, and a car that will pass a basic safety inspection.

My bad - I was thinking of Evo's. I need to do some research on what convertible's need for a regular trackday.

Go to: nasaproracing.com or nasaracing.net
to look up the requirements...

Go to:
http://www.nasaproracing.com/forms/form_hpde_tech.pdf

That is the tech form -- look at the safety section -- it does say "roll bars in open cars"...
