Hello Everyone,
There have been some interesting activities that have transpired recently at the DCEvoClub.com boards, and I and SEL Ground Performance have been taken out of context and misrepresented without any avenues for us to rebut what has been said or done.
It is truly unfortunate as SELGP has been there from the start as the only paying sponsor in addition to special member discounts; and again the only vendor who has been participating in the events, organizing, and also contributing technically to the board. In spite of all this we were shown the door and been implicitly told that we are no longer welcome. We again respected this and asked that our login name no longer be part of the registered member list as to avoid any confusion that we are still active within the board. It is perplexing that this has been portraied as us saying the DCEvoClub is not worth our efforts. Any of you who have been doing business with us or been interacting with us on a personal basis, know that we are not that type of people or vendor.
We are certainly disappointed with the recent events. However, I do not wish to continue any of arguments as I have not been offended in any way and I respect the board owner's wishes. I would have expected however more professionalism in providing the full story of the events rather than a censored and one-sided story that distorts the picture and making SEL Ground Performance look like we are abondoning the Evo enthusiasts. That is not the case at all.
Should any of you wish to contact us, please feel free to e-mail me at ft@selgp.com or call me on my personal cell phone at 301-996-6034.
Best regards.

What's funny about this, is that after posting my view of the whole situation over on dcevoclub's website, and it did not agree with the other party involved in this dispute, I got banned.
Looks like someone has a hard time admitting he's wrong...

I am sincerely sorry about this situation affecting several by-standers or people expressing their opinions in a free country.
For this reason alone, I wish to end as rapidly as possible without further prolonging a useless issue; but unfortunately it is out my hands.
I appreciate the support and criticism the same, I try to be open to ideas; I do hope we all learn a little bit from this situation.
Regards.

No reason to be sorry. Apparently our "free country" only applies to when you agree with what someone wants you to believe.
We had a war over something similar to this...but I can't quite remember the names...something about ****'s....

Actually free country or not, this board and others are owned by private companies or individuals. They have the right to sensor speech as they see fit. This is not an affront on your rights as you may speak your mind elsewhere. They are not taking away your right to speak your mind; they are just doing so on their forum. Real censorship would mean that the person speaking would never be able to tell his side of the story, or if so would do it under extreme direst.
I do agree that the situation in context is very childish. We all have egos and pride to protect, but at what cost. Its probably best if both parties part ways if they cannot come to a solution to their issues.
Now.. I willl go back to

You certainly have a point, I do not disagree.
Frankly, I have no desires to continue this discussion in any way and close the matter and let things cool down.
It is not good for our business nor any one else. And some people will have some perception about what has really happened and some won't; but it really does not matter at this time.
Somethings have been damaged, certainly not my ego in any way, and its time to repair them and move on.
Thank you.

I believe this issue has been resolved so I do not wish to talk any more about it.Originally posted by kanned

However, I do wish to speak to the quoted statement above.
I fully understand the ownership of these messageboards. I also fully understand that the owners/moderators try to keep them civil. BUT, when someone comes back at you with a statement that is not in agreement with the owner/moderator, they should not, as a MATURE person, ban or erase that person's point of view. Granted, there may be some sort of exception in that the individual's point of view is derrogative or nasty, but I don't think my personal posts have been either - no matter where I post.
A lot of people may not like what I have to say, but I can bet you this, I'm going to tell you like it is - no bullsh!t. If I think you're wrong, I'll tell you, and most likely I'm going to tell you why I think that. If a moderator/owner cannot respect the opinions of their posters, why have the messageboard in the first place?
That's all I'm saying. I've been wiped, edited, banned - you name it - from both Evolutionm.net and dcevoclub.net and so far it's only been because I have basically told whoever was moderating that they were wrong, and I told them exactly what they did in being wrong.
I'm not God, nor am I always right, but you can bet I'll keep those around me in check, as I would hope they would do for me.

Well said...I, too, am sorry to hear that you were banned; I thought you presented your 'point of view' of this situation quite professionally. I sat there and watched you being attacked, as I had been, simply for pointing out someone's wrongdoing...

thanks, and the ban is over.
I think the situation is resolved so I don't think we need to discuss that, but I believe you sent me a PM camdog? I wasn't able to get it, could you send me one here if you still needed to talk?

Being a part of Dcevoclub.com, I am sorry to hear that FT.
I am very sad to hear all those situations, I am just hoping everything goes back to normal as soon as possible.
