jerrys mitsubishi on Joppa road just got the very first Evolution RS in the united states, they were taking the protective wrapping off of it when i went, there was a crowd of ppl around it, its all white, beautiful, its a stripped down version of the evo, no radio, no paneling in the trunk, no air conditioner, doesnt have much so i guess its real light...it was cool seeing it tho!

 

I think someone on the board already ownes one actually, and I think they all come with air.

The first ones arrived around the 6th, and the rs has AC, its included. I've had mine since last thrusday, but it arrived here on Wednesday morning. It a nice ride, i just bought a factory head unit for it, because i need to have a radio, now i need two speakers, and thats it....for now

 

Yeah, there is a member in Ft. Lauderdale who picked his up early this week. He's 19 and been catching a lot flack for his age from some of the others around here.

The car is beatifull, but doesn't look any different from the 2003 evo (minus the wing, trunk interior, and interior dress peices/stereo). It does have A/C and they are saying that most of them do come with A/C from the factory.

That red RS would be me. Picked it up at 5;00 pm on May 5th. There was also another white one there but he didn't take delivery yet.

I got one of the ones that came with A/C from the factory. I haven't seen one that didn't have A/C.

 

g6civcx: Let me know if you ever want to buy a stock evo CD stereo cheap. I took mine out the first day to put in my old head unit.

You guys getting those RS's from tysons in N.Va? Im waiting for my leather clad one to show up so I can pick it up. You guys are making me salivate. When I get it, we'll have to meet up at some point...I live in Mont. County Md.

 

All the evos they have right now, have leather in them, there '04 models. Go to Robert Gold, if you want one, he was really great when i bought mine. Yeah i live in MC too.

They're really awesome cars, man. I really enjoy driving them. They're probably the best set up car from the factory, the like of which I haven't seen since the Integra Type R. It does everything well. It turns in well. It accelerates amazingly. It stops nicely. It holds its line or alters it depending upon what you want. Everything is very intuitive. I haven't seen a car that is this nice from the factory ever (forget the ITR ).

But be careful, and take it easy. They have a lot of power, and sometimes you can get going way too fast before you realise it. Respect the car, respect yourself, and respect others. Stay alive, and enjoy being alive

EVO8Speed, when did you pick yours up? They told me on the phone that the white one was sold so I drove 3 hours straight to come pick it up ASAP.

I know, but I say that more for myself than anybody else

 

I think I will be making a trip to N. Va this weekend. I've been trying to wait for my dealership (Rockville Mitsu), to get one in stock but they said another week. Any idea which colors they had with the leather? Im trying for BBY or Yellow. Thanks.
