Hey Chicago Area Evo's! It's been almost impossible for me to find any clubs or groups that meet in the area. I just came across this thread today after doing a search. Anyways, I'm curious to know how it went and if you guys plan on doing another one in the future. I know it's freezing ***** now, but a big summer meet would be awesome. Let me know if anyone has anything planned. I may be able to swing us a solid location if you need it. Thanks!

Midwest Lancer Club had it's 2nd Anni. meet this past summer. Of course we don't discriminate so there were Galant and Evo's and few other makes there. You can go to midwestlancers.com and go to the gallery to check out some of our meets. Maybe we'll meet in a couple of weeks if it ain't to cold.

I went to the 2003 and 2004 forest preserve summer meets. We had more Evos combined when we met in Feb 2004 at Portillos. It was so cold we couldn't stand outside for more than five minutes. We don't have to wait until it gets warm.

yeah that meet was hilarious. i was one of the first ones there i thought for sure nobody else would show except a few cars. that thing was in late jan/early feb of last year. i think at most we had about 20 evos there and people drove from IN and milwaukee. who da thunk it.........also philip was it your yellow evo that got temporarily "lost" on golf road due to someone else driving it or was that someone elses????? good meet anyway.

Did you guys have any problems with the police at the forest preserve? It sounded like we may no longer be welcomed at Woodfield because of that "incident." Let's definately plan something. I don't want to sound like a puss bag, but it might be nice if the weather is a little warmer. My car will be a little closer to showing in the spring, but I'll rock out either way!

i've got all of Jan off work so a meet soon would be awsome. I keep having to work on the BBQs. If you live in the Midwest, cold should not be a factor.

In a moment of clarity during last night's druken new years celebration, I remembered that I'd found us a centrally located, safe, parking equipped place to meet -- The Rock n' Bowl on Diversy ave. We should definitely have a meet there soon.
