sleepy time in colorado
nothing to do in colorado it seems right now.i finally took my evo out of her snow blanket to drive and had a little fun. still haven't put on my snow tires from last year because its a little fun to slide around.
plus the car just seems really fast after not driving a fast car for a week and having a ton of gravel on the roads. the best part is i never exceeded the speed limit but a cop wouldn't be too keen.
oh well.what have you colorado evo kids been doing?
The same thing as you......working and waiting for better weather so that we can break the speed limit with no fear of dying because of icy roads.
Summer rules. But winter is fun too. I can't find any good parking lots on this side of town to slide around in. Too many islands or poles.

2nd creek is open for test and tune on the weekends and most weekdays. Your tires and brakes last a long time as it is so cold outside and you get to have fun -- legally. Just don't tell Mitsubishi.:

Fingers crossed -- we will have another season.
Sadly the designer of 2nd Creek, Danny Collins, died last week. He was going to lay out the designs for 2nd Creek's replacement. It is shame to see that he has passed as he was a great part of the racing community. I actually took a one day driving class with him last year. He was a really nice, knowledgeable guy.
Yes please keep me informed on this. Me and a few of me buddys wanted to start seeing what are cars are made off.

Monday night) before the City Council of Commerce City. The hearing
starts at 7:30 and, due to the expected crowd size, will be held in the
Multi Purpose Room at the Commerce City Recreation Center. The
Recreation Center is right next to City Hall which is located at 5291
East 60th Avenue. We are the second item under public discussion on the
agenda. The first item is the extension for Rocky Mountain Speedway
(the roundy round next door).
I would like to have 100 to 150 people from the Colorado Motorsports
Council clubs in attendance. I am arranging for 5 people to speak on
behalf of all of the clubs. The Multi Purpose Room holds about 200
people so during the Rocky Mountain Speedway presentation, our group
will likely be asked to wait in other areas of the Rec. Center. The
impact of a group this size will neutralize a room full of homeowner
opposition. I anticipate a large group of homeowners will be present.
The meeting will likely run until 10:30 or so with the Second Creek
presentation occurring from about 9:00 to 10:30. People should plan on
being there no later than 8:15. The meeting is a formal meeting of the
Council and will be run under a strict set of rules. Dress is casual.
Clothing supporting your club will help identify one as a supporter of
the extension.
I have chosen not to ask people to send emails or letters. The Council
is being bombarded by many different groups and is not happy. We will
be seen in a better light by respecting their time and not overloading
their communication systems. This will certainly be pointed out during
the hearing.
I look forward to seeing many of you at this hearing. Your support for
the extension is greatly appreciated.

Quick OT
This morning I was driving in Boulder going south bound on Foothills Pky. I usually enjoy seeing other Evos as they are quit uncommon -- unfortunately this time it wasn't enjoyable. On the side of the road after crossing Valmont was a black unmarked that had just pulled over a red Evo.
You have both my sympathy and in fact my empathy. I have had 3 separate tickets on this road in the last 10 years. The most recent was in February of this year for doing 69 in the stupidly low 45. In that instance I got away with a $100 fine and 4 points (after court). I hope he didn't get you for going too quick.
My condolences.
