The MFBA (nee Speedseekers) events at Road America are on!!
That's awefully expensive for a track day. If you keep your ears open, you will find much cheaper track days in the Midwest. Here is one for example at Gingerman this weekend for $50!!!

I have run with Fox Valley Sports Car Club. Great group of guys. I'm not dissin the FBody org. I can just find better ways of spending $340.

Actually, I find this website very helpful for almost every event in the Midwest:

that event at the gingerman is not really an actual track event. it's an autox event where they only use portion of the track and you speed are limiited by cone. I am not driving 2plus hour for something i can do locally in a parking lot for less then 50 dollars.

Any chance to get on Gingerman, autocross or not, for $50 is a steal!

Yes, $170 a day is a bit rich, but it's essentially the going rate for one day at other nearby tracks. The PCA requires $170 for a day at Blackhawk. To this driver, driving my street car at Road America is comparable to playing touch football on Soldier Field. I simply can't get that kind of a rush auto-xing (I am not stating that Auto-crossing is easy, simply a different animal) nor can I navigate through all those cones
.
Also, at the MFBA event, they alllow slot sharing--my wife and I split driving duties for the price of 1 entry. Not too many other organizations allow that; in many instances it's 2 drivers - 2 entry fees.

So bogie are you going to be there for the april event? the last time i check there is only one other evo which is an 05 mr. It's nice to get some evo together for the event.
Ps. As Bogie stated earlier that the going rat is about 170 dollars a day and to me it is way more fun than staying in first and second gear only. Beside RA is a very, very nice track to take our evo to.

I'm in for April! Last time I looked there were several Evos registering for the intermediate group, so that is the one I requested as well.
The other great thing about MFBA events is that they allow non-participant passengers on the track.

We were placed in the Advanced Group, however, I have requested to be bumped to the Intermediate Group (or have all the Intermediate Evo-guys moved to the Advanced Group) so's we can run together

5 Evos running together, that's hot!
The MFBA fellow I emailed thinks he can accomodate our move to the Intermediate Group when he does the final group shuffle closer to track day.
