Alright!!!

Great news, looks like I will be attending Sat and Sunday event at Mid-Ohio. I just spoke with Linda, and she said there is no one on the waiting list for group 2 for those days.

That means I will be there Friday for sure. And sat and sunday makes me in 95%. There is still time for people to cnacel. And definately someone won't show up!!!

P.S Phil's tires will install my RA-1s at the track on friday. 255/40/17 yo!

Good stuff man!

My sled's gonna be down for a while. No compression.....

So, built 2.0 or stroke it is the question......

I knew it would happen sooner or later, just didin't know that it would be THIS soon.

Teardown is under way and more answers as to what exactly happened will be soon coming.

I would be able to join for the shoot.. but having a torn up front diff will make that a problem.

We're seeing if Mitsubishi will warranty it... if not.. its off to Shep Tranny..

ya know.. i have no idea..

i bought the car about 2 months ago.. when i signed for the car i had a dealership go over it.. they had to put in a new clutch and they did all the new synchro stuff.. new throwout bearing..

and now this... i'm guessing the previous owner beat on it and didn't know what he/she was doing..

so far i haven't had to pay for any of it....
it just sucks.. its been in a shop of somesort 40% of the time since i signed for it..
and its stock...

Turn 3 at Nelson Ledges happened. I was applying full power at the apex and the turbo spooled like normal and then at about 5500rpm there was a heavy misfire and it died. There was no catastrophic pow or bang and the block is in one piece. It is not leaking any fluids so I dunno. I am thinking head gasket and that all the coolant is IN the cylinders. If so, that could be pretty bad.....

The car is at Buschur now and Dave sais that he pulled the logs and that the knock was pegged and that it (AEM) had pulled as much timing as possible and that the knock was still pegged. So, David surmised that something let loose (or, was slowly letting loose) or that I had gotten bad gas. Interestingly, I had just filled up with Alex at some gas station out there in BFE.

If any of you have stuff from the shootout.. or any stuff you can post it there..
If you already have it on youtube.. there is a place where you can just add the link and it will post it on this site.. its pretty sweet..

at least i think it is.. since its what i do for a living.. lol

the site is evovideos.magnify.net

feel free to add to the site.. and let me know if you have any suggestions..

Oh crap, I had no clue it could have been because of gas station. I feel bad now for asking to go fill up with me.

Well, didn't you say you checked the oil and there was no signs of coolant? That's a good sign if it was the HG. Hopefully it's nothing catastrophic.
