Enough of this trash talk about tracks...hahahaha....here's some real solid information I received from the Nelson Ledges track office manager:

As most of you already know, some of us were planning to rent Nelson for an entire day. They can only offer weekday (Monday - Thursday) this season. For Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we have to book it for 2007. Screw that.

The cost will be $2500 to rent the track alone. In addition, we have to purchase liability insurance as a group and hire an ambulance on stand-by ($55/hr). I guess the total cost should be around $3000. Unless you're driving a convertible, you can use your stock seatbelt and a helmet.

I suppose if we have twenty cars participate, the cost will only be about $150 per car. But weekday maybe difficult for some of us. What do you guys think?

I have a feeling that might not go over too well with the judge
I'm guessing you have to go to court?

Edit: "Your honor, I drive an Evo" Judge: "Let him go"
That's how it would be if I was in charge...

Quote: I can't wait for Norwalk to open this year, and do some passes to see what my setup can produce at the track. Awesome car Tim, but I thought something was going to blow up with as many dyno pulls as you had on Saturday. Did anyone see what kind of numbers Bigmike was making after the tune? This year is going to be crazy with all the mods people have done in the past year!!!!

Yea, I have no idea how I am going to try and explain this to the judge. I don't think I am going to be able to talk myself out of anything...

...Bobby, a little help?

Talon - did you get a speeding ticket or a reckless operation?

If it was a speeding ticket, you go to court, the Magistrate (not a judge), says slow down, you plead guilty and you get a fine, court costs and 2 points.

Where did it happen at?

I went to court back in February for a speeding ticket of 71 in a 35.

It's just marked a speeding ticket form what I can tell.

It happened on 82 in Royalton/ Strongsville.

What'd it cost you?

I had that ticket and a speeding ticket back in July.

This one cost me $84 in court costs and a $75 fine.

Talon, It wouldn't hurt to get a lawyer or AT LEAST talk to one.

I have a few ideas. Give me a call about it.

But their open days are only $125. Sure, you may have to put up with some yahoos, but there usually aren't that many people there and you can stay on the track 'til you run out of gas. And how many times did it take before I actually saw any of you guys at Nelson? Getting 20 people out there is like herding cats!

Nelson frequently have "Fun Days". These are track days open to anyone with a helmet. You can drive anything from stock cars to race-prepped machines.

You can sign up to NASA if you want. They're having three or four events at Mid-O this summer. The first is at the end of April; I'll be there in my Eclipse... can't wait!
You can sign up to race, time trial, or HPDE (High Performance Driving Event).

From what I can tell, the HPDE is just going out for some track time... don't f' with me and I won't f' with you type of thing. You're not really racing anyone, just getting some time on the track. I'll be there Sat and Sun (22/ 23) and the HPDE there are four sessions of 20 mins each day.

Anyway, shoot me a PM or something if you want more info.
