***Official Ohio Chat Thread***
I was there on Sunday. I wasn't driving, obviously, but I was there hanging out with one of my buddies who was. Pretty sh*tty weather. My Eclipse would have been a PITA to handle.
My buddy's Z.

Felt bad for him because his tires were not rated well for rain, so he was going really slow. Didn't help we saw a C5 bite it coming though turn 14(?) onto the front straight. He got loose and couldn't recover; the car went face first into the concrete barriers that separates the track from the pits. Ouch. He drove it off but it was pretty f'ed up.
I saw your car but didn't see you.

My street tires sucked too, but after I put 35 psi cold (all around) it felt much nicer
There was another one on Sunday in 4/TT. I had a bird's eye view. He could have saved it and probably thought he did, but must have hit the gas before he was completely straightened out. He shot right (well, left) into the concrete blocks separating pit lane and moved two of them a few inches. The air-bags deployed but driver and passenger looked OK and it didn't look like the car was in too bad a shape.

Well Dan asked if I would. I actually told him that I don't feel comfortable enough, don't feel like I know enough to instruct, but he told me to come back to my first time and see what I needed to know when I first started out... I don't know, we'll see
no clue who it was, he showed up at a meet up spot a week or so ago and was doing donuts/drifting around almost hitting cars, being an all around jackass. Other people seen him on the road and he was driving like a douche trying to race anything and everything.
I had a blast this weekend at Mid Ohio. Wish I had remembered the video camera for the car. In the rain, one car passed me all weekend, at the end of the session he was a on rollback with a seriously smashed up front end, guess you are only faster if you finish
Driving in the rain was for sure a new level of experience, glad I didn't skip out on the weekend because of weather.
I also got moved to Group 4. I may do Putnam so I can get my TT license and get ready for nationals.
Anyone who hasn't tried road racing yet............get your *** out there and do it, it's a freaking blast.

I will be at Putnam too
Yes, going to 42 tonight.
EVO8, cool. You are going to instruct there at Putnam or what group are you running?
I have to think about it. I really need to go IF I want to run Nationals, I have to make some choices and decide. I'd like to go, what are the dates on Putnam? I know we have Winged Warrior close to there around that time too.
