Hey, guys! Let me know if any of you have experience with stock clutch issues. My car is an '06 Evo (not SE, MR, or RS) with just under 18k on it and no other power-adding mods than a cat-back exhaust. The other night I noticed that the clutch was slipping in 3rd and 4th under boost on the freeway. I called Mentor Mitsubishi's service department and inquired about warranty coverage. The service guy I talked to said that wear will not be covered. He also said that it would be about $270 to determine what the problem is. That cost would either go toward the repair or not be charged if it was to be covered under warranty. He mentioned that, in his experience, any clutch slipping issues were usually due to wear and not covered under warranty.

I'm just wondering what other peoples' experiences have been as far as dealers covering clutches, which route to go for a repair/upgrade, etc. Thanks for any input that you can offer!

Like the title says I have multiple tires for sale

1. 17x9 FN01R-C with 255/40/17 Toyo RA-1 mounted + 1 spare Toyo RA-1, all shaved to 3/32 only 1 track day on them, so pretty much still at 3/32
$800

2. Nexen 3000 255/35/18, less than 500 miles on them $250

3. Blue Streak 235/47/17, kinda noisy tires $100

4. Toyo RA-1 235/40/17, Mint (full tread) only 1 track day (in rain) so they are pretty much new. Cost on them was $1000. For sale at $650

Here is what those 5zigen's look like. They are painted gunmetal color, really nice and look mint, no chips.... If anyone wants I can take a close up pictures.

BTW I believe the offset is +28

I think you're right. I'm just gonna do it my way. Pick out a clutch and flywheel, have it installed, be happy, etc. Warranties never helped me out much, anyway.

I'm semi-interested in these. Some close-up pics would be great!

Yes. Are they the FN01R-C that I quoted you as listing? I know that model is a 5zigen wheel. Sorry if I was confusing.
