Anyone know of any touchless car washes in the Fairfield, Forest Park, Springdale, West Chester area? Pretty much anything on the north end of the city would work. They're hard to find online, and the only one I ever drive by appears to be broken at the moment. I know there's one on Route 4 by the Olive Garden in Fairfield, but it doesn't do a very good job .

Thanks for the offer Steven, I wound up fixing my girlfriend's Corrolla so we're driving that back to NYC tomorrow morning, and the evo is staying here in my parent's garage for a while, hopefully I can build it into the track car this year (we'll see).

BUT AS FOR ZEROLIFT, I whole heartedly say DO NOT go with them. My best friend used to be a mechanic there, I'm not going to say his name because it's not my place to, but he quit for a reason.... he quit for multiple reasons, but safe to say I never heard good things about that place for years, and now knowing how it's operated, I would NEVER let them touch anything of mine. They do have a knowledgeable mechanic, heard good things about him, but as for the management and operation, holy ****.

TurninConcepts, is the ONLY people currently in Cincinnati you should let touch your car. They are Subaru guys, but are as smart as it gets in the world of Sport Compacts, and will do a GREAT job on your clutch. They are the only shop with a perfect record of happy customers, no shady deals, no half-*** work, and if it means anything to you, for the last two years have been un-stoppable in the Redline Time Attack Series. They know their ****, and are a standup business.

Paul, I hope all is going well for you, and in the future I'm sure you'll have your hands/business on my car.

Tuning for bolt ons is pretty simple. You need to read up on the EcuFlash sections of this forum. Plenty to learn. I've tuned a lot of cars.

As for the AWD dyno....The future may be bright for me upon my return from the land of sand. Stay tuned.

Hope all my friends back home are doing well. Iraq....yeah it sucks.

Gave this a shot the other day. Not bad, thanks for the suggestion. It was better than the place I'd been going, and the price was similar. Very narrow, though, with not much room for navigation. I don't think I can trust the Evo's poor turning radius and my judgement to make it into the bay once my expensive summer wheels are on. Though, I don't visit auto washes often in the summer.

I do wish we really had a top notch touchless place. When I visit the folks up north they've got this amazing one they put in a few years back. No bars on the floor to mar your wheels, the bay is wide, and it uses a couple optical sensors to get the water jets right up next to your car, which means it even gets the X's flat back end spotless. It does a great job, but it's a stand-alone place and not a retrofit into an old self-serve bay like most of ours are. It's like an automatic washing wonderland. I'm jealous. I don't think we have anything like that here.

Just buy yourself a cheap pressure washer. Keep your hose in the garage (won't freeze) and spray as often as necessary. It only takes a few minutes to knock the grime off the car. Saves you the hastle of going to a touchless....and you can get the under carriage clean too. Can't go wrong here.

Oh and yeah....Sept is when I will be home. Just gotta survive the constant rocket attacks from the insurgants. GRRR.

I've tried using just a pressure washer, but it's just not the same. Maybe if the car was any other color than white it would be fine, as the pressure washer alone gets off most of the dirt, but I can always tell that it's not quite as white as it should be.

It's the worst on the back where the X has a reputation for spewing out a hard-to-clean grimy mess from the tailpipe.
