ok, turns out $160 is for Level IV parks..which is for like 400+ people

Gina said permits were gonna be $150ish so i looked at the ones price similarly..

I went to the Busse Woods today and looked at all the spots. I found really good palces for our meets and they would only cost $35 plus some surcharges or something. Now who wants to go get the permit for me? SilverStreak has offered, but he is on duty (as a fireman) today so he cant do it today, maybe not even this weekend. I would like someone to do this over this weekend. We can apply for permits online. If someone wants to do this for me, please give me a PM (i would do it myself but if you read above, you must be 21 to apply for this permit).

Bob, thanks for doing all that research. You're really bustin your nuts to see to it that we get a place. I hope everyone appreciates it as much as I do. This weekend it looking really tight for me, and I'm certain I don't have time to do it. Unfortunately, I'm on-duty Monday, so the earliest I could do it is on Tuesday. If no one else gets to it before that, give me the info and I'll cruise down and get it taken care of. Thanks again, bro!

this is the map of both sides of the woods. I want to get grove #2 if possible (on north side)

the area is just down the street from Woodfield Mall.

 

Last year we had someone post up directions and pictures of the exit we need to take. Are we going to get this kind of service this year? I know I can always get Mapquest directions, but those have often sent me to a close address instead of the actual location.

Well I got shafted by RRM. Even though I order my body kit on 5/28 and after the sideskirt delay and being promised it would ship 6/28, I may not see it till next month. My car will look like crap at the meet, but I'll still be there.

I am going to try my hardest to get this done today, but there's a chance I may not be able to get to this. Otherwise, I work for the next 48 hours, meaning I won't be available to get this permit until friday. Is there anyone else that can do this? It's getting really close and we NEED to secure our location.

 

Gina called you but got no answer..but since i havent given you details about what grove is good, im guesing you haven't gotten the permit yet..which is good.

Gina is going to the Forest Preserve office tomorrow morning to secure a location. Our #1 place is the barrington location she talked about earlier, if that doesnt work, we will find a place in Busse Woods. That's all the news for now, ill get more info tomorrow night.

 

I just got Gina's message the other day. I actually got boned working mandatory overtime, so I haven't left the firehouse since wednesday. I'm set to get off of work sometime friday evening, so I'm not going to get to this until next week. That's cutting it extremely close. Sorry about that. Is there any word on the status? Let me know if there's anything I can do. I would hate to lose this opportunity, especially since it looks like we have a good group coming.

 

i guess ill let everyone hear the bad news, all the spots that we wanted are taken. people anticipate more than i thought..lol. well for us it was just a matter of not having enough time on our hands to go down to the office and getting a permit. we need to think of alternatives stat..

If anyone know's a place where we can do it, please PM me or reply to this thread with info. I don't want to change the date because im sure everyone has taken off work that day and it's too much of a hassle. We're really at a road block right now..i cant think of any alternative places that we can go off the top of my head. If anyone has ANY ideas, like i said, PM me with info or reply here.
