Question Anyone with alky kit, chicagoland area?

How was the install? What type of fluids are you running and did you notice the difference in power?

Anyone running 100% methanol and where to buy? Is 100% methanol safe to use?

Thanks.

I run the alkycontrol kit on my car with 100% methonal. It's the same kit AMS sells. What questions do you have?

Thanks for the information. Is 100% methonal safe to use and where are you buying the methanol? Any reason for not running 50/50?

THanks.

I got the same kit, with 100% Methanol, VP racing for now, will find it cheaper. I am sticking with the 100% because my math is bad, and I dont want to measure the 50-50 all the time! will post results after the dyno tomorrow!

Thanks. I hope 100% methanol is no flammable and won't harm the engine. Looking forward to your dynosheet then. Good luck.

I use 100% methonal because it produces the most power. I buy my methonal from E&R racing for about $28 for 5 gallons.

Is there anyone that will be showing up for this meet running HKS 272i/272e cams? I'm thinking about going this route for cams but am alittle concerned about the idle so it would be nice to hear the things first hand. If you have them and you'll be there please let me know.

100% methanol makes the most hp. 50/50 works but nothing like 100%. Now, understand methanol is LESS combustive than gasoline so don't worry about that. If you are TRULY worried run 25% DISTILLED water and 75% methanol. (Mind you I ran 100% meth in 90-110degree temps w/o any sort of problem). 100% torco racing fuel methanol is the best IMO.

I've tried windshield water fluid, distilled water, methanol and mixtures of all three..nothing provided the detonation/knock prevention/hp increase as straight methanol.

You can find it online or any ATV/Race shop should carry it. Torco racing fuel is a huge name so its not too hard to find.
