, and now they're non-existant too! I have an ES, which is not too special as of now, but I'm tryin!!
cross that big new bridge into cape . i live in cape girardeau, and have a white 2005. i have also seen a silver evo here in town. the dealership in town told me that there is also a black evo to someone around cape, but they havent seen it for a few months. outside of me and the two others, havent seen another one except at a carshow. several lancers here in town though. come to cape some night. let me know if you plan to do so and maybe i can get a few people together.

Hey guys, sorry to chime in on this one so late but I just found it. I'm actually originally from the Carbondale area. Lived in Murphy and graduated from SIUC and now live in the STL area. I was pretty active with the local DSM boards down there but now I also have an EVO too. My Evo is a 2005 GSR and it's still stock so far. I am also the admin for www.gatewaydsm.org. We are currently changing the site to cater to evos to... www.gatewayevo.org. I wanted to get a regional resource for EVOs to have and also a place to share technical info. If any of you guys are interested hit me up on either PM or just come by gatewayevo. It still says gatewaydsm but I'm actually doing the changes over the weekend. By monday it should be gateway DSM and EVO. GatewayDSM has been around for over 8 years and is a great local resource for DSMs, it should also be a good resource for EVOs. We have meetings, road trips, and dyno days on one of the only AWD dynos in the area at Axis Power Racing.
Thanks,

So far I just got the OK for the EVO forums on the board. IF we get enough SERIOUS lancers on the board then we will expand but they want to avoid any drama or "ricers" (for lack of a better term). Lancers are welcome but beware, if the person who joins is just some F&F kiddie then they will eat them alive. GDSM/GEVO has some pretty serious tuners on there and they don't play kiddie games. Goofy as long as you come on serious you shouldn't have any problems. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun place but it's also a serious technical forum as well.
Me personally I'm selling the two 2G DSMs and focusing on my EVO. Don't get me wrong I love DSM and I recognize it's potential but I want to move into a slightly differnt direction creatively with the EVO. I'm not planning on drag racing the evo at all. Eventually after the warrantee is almost gone I want to move up to about 350-400whp on pump gas and that's it. I read somewhere that the best thing about the EVO was it's balance of everything and not just power or handling. I don't want to dork around too much with the powerband and loose the low end fun I have with the car now.
