Closest Hilly Back Roads to Chicago

My wife and I went to Galena, Illinois last weekend. I had no idea there were so many hills around there. I turned off Rt 20 to take a few back roads, including one called Devil's Ladder Road. I was with the wife and she's 7 months pregnant. I would have been power sliding all over the place if I was by myself.

Anybody know of some great back roads that are closer than Galena (2-3 hours)?

My parents live out towards Huntley. West of route 47 and 90 there are some curvy fun roads with few cops.

I've been on Tower Road and it's great. It's only a half mile tops. These Galena roads I am referring to are miles long. Some are dirt, some are blacktop and some are this really packed dirt that doesn't get all dusty. I tried to Mapquest it, but the roads are so remote that there's nothing listed except the highway.

If you're ever heading to Iowa, take any of those side roads and you'll have a lot of fun.
