its standard in maryland every 2 years...most of the time you can get around them without spending too much money, but if you have a stock OBD2 computer and not heavily modified, youll be fine. If you have AEM EMS like i do, your OBD2 port is disabled and im not sure how they would do it. (here i havent had to go through it yet, but im going to try to have my exhaust tested at the outlet, like they do on older cars)

Michigan does not have emission testing. They are testing to see if Mitsu did everything right and the cars still will pass in other areas...

Would you trust some "engineers" with your car for a week so they can do "testing"?

I sure as heck wouldnt, and not for $150 and a rental car.

Nope. I'm an engineer in the automotive industry. I've seen my share of engineers and techs beating up on some of the high performance cars that come through here.

Definitly not going through with it. I was just curious to see if anyone else got one of these.

lol - thats why I used the " " on engineers, I too have seen some of my buddies (all engineers) absolutely distroy new performance cars. Dont really know where the engineering is in that...

They are fishing for an Evo. Let someone that is naive or doesnt care do it.

I got those this weekend. I could stop laughing. No way I'm going to send my car away to have some tests run on it. I am an automotive testing engineer and I can just image how hard they would treat the car.
