Chicagoland: Snow & Ice =

Me sliding sideways on an on-ramp going from 294 south to 290 west. All I saw was the guardrail, eased off the gas, while correcting the steering. Managed not to hit anything, I was surprised how easily I was able to correct from being completely sideways.

I think I need more seat time in an empty parking lot and some snow to really master my car.

Running All season Goodyear Eagle RSA. That is what came on the car!!!

Was going normal speed around the ramp until I realized it was iced over and the car was going sideways.

oh man,

this snow is great fun, isnt it! glad you were able to steer out of your slide... i have been playing with the ACD and i am also impressed with how easy it is to correct the car from sliding! i spent alot of time just seeing how the car reacts in slippery conditions, and i was messing with the ABS too. the only thing was that if i downshifted instead of braking when it was slippery, the *** end of the car tried to slide out...a little bit of gas helped me through it. the hardest part to remember when sliding is to stay on the gas and dont brake! super happy with how this car handles the snow.

I hate having all that salt on my car, but I love driving in this stuff! That sucks that you almost lost it. My car was suicide with those stock advans, but these Kuhmos I'm running are a dream. I am having a hard time breaking traction when I want to mess around. Fun stuff, though. 3"-5" more tomorrow!
