Il Evo Spotted Thread......
I also do a buck 20 on 53 often heading towards Schaumburg from Fox Lake. It's definitley a good road to do that kind of stuff on. Once I start getting towards a buck 30 it definitley becomes a bit more of a shakey ride!
I actually just finished up my online driving school course for getting a stupid ticket from a state cop a week after i got the car drivin on 53 by Woodfield. For those of you who haven't done one online, expect to take around 4 hours to complete.
My last ex-gf rode a crotch tocket and always thought it made no sense why I waved to other evo's when I drove by them. She said it should only be a motorcycle thing. After reading thru all of these posts I highly beg to differ. I also mentioned to her how it's not like you see Evo's everywhere you go which is why you gotta give props when you see one!

Ok. First and foremost; I don't appreciate the 'Old Man' Corvette comments. That was a nice car and fun to drive. It just so happened to be that every guy I attempted to pull over and talk with parked in the handicap spots. Anyone else that was interested in talking, including the guys at cruise night in Crystal Lake, well, they didn't know s*it about their car. One guy had a nice blower set up with cams, exhuast, ect. and didn't know anything more than taking it to the shop and paying a lot of money... No respect for the power or potential! To the guy in CL the other day, that was sarcasm, I was not offended. And yes, my windows are tinted pretty dark so I understand. I love the tint, but don't drive through Woodstock. I got profiled like no other just because the cop had a hard on for the Evo's. I live in Lakewood and I've seen quite a few cars in the area. It's always a welcome sight to see a nice Evo. Before the 'Vette I had an STi, and everyone who owned one had to prove they had a fast car regardless of the fact that you had the same car. There's a different respect with this crew and it's cool. Ok, this is getting long…
Funny enough, I like to be a patient person and take my time. You just can't help it when you hear the exhaust rumble and the turbo wind... Your brain tells your foot to push harder... and it always does.
