HELP! anyone in elgin, crystal lake/algonquin!!!

hey locals,
just wanted to see if anyone with an evo in my area could give me a hand...i just got my 05 tuned by AMS and i think i am leaking boost. i dont have a boost gauge, so i would need someone to let me hook up theirs temporarily to see if i am boosting. or we could just have a quick stoplight run to see if i truly am underpowered. i will buy lunch!!! let me know if anyone can do this. thanks!

why do you not have a boost gauge?

priority # 1 - buy a boost gauge and if you discover a problem do a boost leak test

i dont have a gauge because before i didnt really need one...AMS used the ECU and vaccum lines to control boost. martin said he set me up for 21 psi, and i believe him. its possible that i dont even have a problem, just my "butt dyno" doesnt feel like i am boosting all the way.

I would get a gauge just in case, there not that expensive. Hey do you have a black hood on your ride?

Damn...you just got this thing tuned...why do you think you have a boost leak? Are you sure your not mistaking a leak for taper? or just when it initially spikes your stock bypass sputtering...

Hey Abe. I'm glad you had your problem fixed. I would still get a boost gauge. They are easy to install and not too expensive. It's well worth the money.
