Window Tint in Madison/ Milwaukee Area

Ok lets avoid the “You should search” posts and cut right to an answer. I searched “window tint” and came up with nothing really helpful, I am just looking for a place that does a good job and has a lifetime warranty (I am not going to read all them damn pages in the Milwaukee and Madison threads to see if its in there ) and maybe a price and phone number where I could reach them at. Me and about 5 of my buddies want to get our windows tinted, and would like to see if a place would offer a discount on getting all 5 cars in there in one day or a weekend. All I am really asking here is Name of a place that does good work, Prices, and Phone numbers. I have really only two good places in the Appleton, Oshkosh, and Green Bay area. And the going rate for one car is 250, but if I could get 5 he said he could drop it to 200/car. I am still waiting to hear back from 2 other places that I e-mailed but that’s the best offer I have for right now.

Also if there is anyone that is thinking about getting their windows done and need a little motivation I am going to see if a shop will offer a discount for more cars, and if they do I will put up the price. Then if people are interested they can join us, I actually have only 3 people so far, so if there are people in the Madison or Milwaukee area that want to get this done let me know and I can get a ball park figure as to how many cars want to get their windows done. Thanks in advance and remember its either Madison or Milwaukee area.

Blackout Window tinting, in the Ultimate Truck building in West Allis.

End of story.

Best place I've ever seen.

Fireball yyou weren't kidding, about Blackout, just got off the phone with him, talked to him about 10 minutes, and he really knows his stuff. at least 20 years experience, laser cut film, best tint out there. i am going to push for this guy, and the prices he said will vary for each car, an EVO will be around 200 w/out tax. the normal rate he said for the EVO was about 215. my buddy w/ a cavalier would be about 190, and my other buddy in the GTO would also be about 190. he said each car would be a little different in price due to window design and car type.

i called eclipse, and the receptionist will be talking to the owners and giving me a call back in the morning with how much of a discount we could get.

Eclipse in madison just called me back and said 195 for a 4-door car, and 165 for a 2-door car, but we would have to put 10% down per car if we were to do this, just so it guarantees we go there.

I got my windows tinted at kar tunes. They did a good job with the tinting but everything on the inside of the car was soaked. They are not very careful when putting it in.

Did you do this already? What were your results? Where did you go?

I am considering tinting the entire windshield plus another 4" strip at the top of the windshield for police protection. To create the effect of the window only having tint at the top section as it is suppose to. Goin gto the edge of the windshield in all corners will be tough, but I am sure it can be done. Then tint all around as well. Looking to go all the way to the edge of the windows on each door (minus 1/8"). I had tint on my last vehicle and it was great, no bubbling or any other issues.

I saw some guy do an install (Unique Whips) where he used a hair drier on the exterior of the window to reduce how quickly the film would shrink, and to aid in drying. He did a great job. And he did it wiht out soaking the car in water. Very professional. (though most of the other stuff isnt) Would like it to be done inside and not outside where all kinds of debris can get into it. And I would like it to be dry inside my car when it is done. Not like a wet towel. I will check out Blackout, sounds very interesting. I would like to see the process either way. (Using a laser to cut the tint)

I have had my car 4 months and just rolled the windows down for the first time yesterday!! I guess I was trying to keep the inside of the glass as clean as possible for the tinting process, but it was just too beautiful to hold out any longer.

I live in Gurnee, il. Willing to drive there for a great shop.

Only reason why I don't tint is because it's illegal to touch the front windows. The last thing I need is more unwanted polica attention.

Really? I am not very familiar with the laws regarding window tint here in Il. What a joke, no tint on the front windshield, I will look into that one.
It was practically mandatory for all drivers to tint their vehicles in Fl. FCOL
Granted we don't have the kind of heat and humidity they have down there, but it is just as bright, and can be even hotter on occasion.
Its about both comfort and safety.

Thanks for the heads up EnJaNir

In IL you can't tint the Front drivers or passengers windows, you can't tint the front windshield and you can only put on a banner that is is roughly the length of a dollar bill

Still waiting on some replies, i would like to go to black out Window tinting, the price would be about 200 for an EVO, as far as the front window being tinted you would have to call and ask if he would do that, i guess as soon as there are 5 people interested i could make a call and set it up let me know if you are intersted

My buddy got his wrx done at Kartunes in south milwaukee. As far as I have seen its really good. His interior was fine, they took care of his car. I think the price was like under 200 because of some deal they had running. It was like 100 off any tint job. Not sure exactly what it was or if the promotion is still running but give them a call. Good luck.
