I have a neighbor that keeps complaining about my exhaust and he is starting a law suit about it. He says it wakes him up every morning and shakes his house. He is two houses away. I never get pulled over because of my exhaust and it is one of the quitest exhaust on the market (APS). Has anyone esle ran into anything like this
yet. Does anyone know what the DB limit is in chicagoland area?

Keep in mind it is illegal to put on an aftermarket exhaust in IL. The law is worded that you can't touch a stock exhaust and I believe if you need to put on a new exhaust it must be/meet all oem specifications (mainly db).

There is no db requirement in IL, it is subjective.

 

Buy a Hardly driveitson!

 

Are you referring to the APS 3.5" exhaust?? If so, it's definitely not one of the quietest exhaust systems. If anything at WOT it's one of the loudest, I also have it on my car.

Anyhow, good luck with that pesky neighbor, that blows...

at idle it is pretty low db it would shake my windows in my house. but two houses down tell him to get on his knees and lick your sack
