I could take a day off as long as its about 3 weeks notice of the date. My neighbors probably wouldn't be able to do it. But I do know a place in Byron, IL, about 40 minutes south of Rockford. Directly across the street from the nuke plant. http://www.danukepaintballgames.com/
Guns have to chronoed at 280fps. Sundays are open play. All other days are private parties only. FREE AIR all day long. The only thing you need is paintballs. They do rent equipment and they might sell paint, but I'm not sure.

^^^TRUE, but it is a cool place with lots of fields and old buildings to play around. What about chicago indoor paintball, are they still open, I haven't played there for almost 5-6 years now.

Sorry for the hijack, just a feeler, anyone want to buy a brand new VL MAxis marker? Picked it up at the end of last season and never shot it, I want an ION instead...PM me if interested Going on EBAY this weekend

LOL!! i like the "Mothers Play Free" on mothers day, that made me chuckle. This place sounds pretty good also.

I like Cableguy's also "Free Air" thats awesome. Hmmmmm what does everyone else think?? should we maybe throw a date out there when we want to do this??

i will throw one out and let me know if we can do it how about either July 8th or 9th??? I am guessing we will have to have a pretty decent window in order to get a place reserved for a saturday. How many people do you think we would need in order to get the place to our self??

Also for those of you w/out a marker, and want to go, if we go to a field, they rent markers, so it would be awesome if you came, the more people that came the better

Would anyone have a problem w Gurnee, its about a 2 hour drive for me but i don't care about that. Is that too far for anyone????

I think that weekend works for me. At most places I've played at, if we call and let them know we are showing up with 25-30 people they will let us play private games wherever and rotate around the park, but they probably won't close the entire park down. It's cool though, as long as we all get to play together it should be good. I'll talk to a few other people and see how many I can get.

I played here before but years ago, didn't know it was still open, has some decent fields (probably changed around a bit by now). There's a field next to a stream...large stream, in which I did a Rambo and dove in to do a surprise attack. If this place is still open then it would be good for both people in WI, Milwaukee area, IL, and Chicago area, and yeah they do rentals of equipments. Though I think Challenge Park would be better but yeah it''s way too far for all WI and far north IL people.

Anyone want a Icon E marker, like the Spyder if not the same, $50 buck it's yours. Only play with it once, going to get a different marker.

I am really liking the Gurnee Location. A private party would be awesome just all of us hanging out (some for the first time) and shooting each other thats a great ice breaker "Hi my name is Matt" "SPLAT!!!" i can just picture it.

So is this a for sure location then and date:

Gurnee Mills, ( http://www.paintballblitz.com/ ), July 8th or 9th, ALL ARE WELCOME!! Marker or no Marker, they have rentals

Great that you selected that weekend.

For those whom never played before ... suggestion wear baggy clothing and for guys this is an optional piece of equipment; you can get a Cup. Even playing with pro or non-pro people, there are stray paintballs flying around and Oops. Just looking out for my fellow EvoM male members.

the thing is tho if we want to do a private party we have to put 250 down minimum to hold the spot

How would we do that????

we would have to get everyone to send 10 bucks to this place or someone actually take command and have everyone that wants to play paypal someone 10 bucks or something, this is just for a private party tho, i mean we can still go and play w/out the private party, but the private party would be the best the IMO
