Ice anyone?

I was greeted with frozen rain on my way home from work early this morning, and just had 45 minutes of the best fun ever....who needs snow when you have a completely frozen street?

As a warning to anyone with Advan's, do not even try and go driving in this...you can lose it once you hit even the slightest boost, and I was doing that with a stock car and good all seasons.

But onto the fun stuff:
-Pulling drifts and connected drifts with 2nd and 3rd gear (that's right, you can have enough power in that gear to spin at low speeds)
-50 foot wide slideways circles accompanied by a few normal donuts (not that fun really, you go too slow because the tires can't hook and spin you)
-Pulling 180 degree spins at only 5 mph
-Safely launching and not hooking in ANY gear .

Anyways, just curious if anyone else took advantage of this bad weather situation and entertained themselves?

here goes a few of mine. i worked 6pm-6am and it was like this when i got off. really started with the sleet about 0400-0430 though. the evo makes great heat and was able to melt all off windows during its morning warm up, but the hood and roof stayed as is. all i thought was, dayshift is screwed with this weather, haha.

well those vics are more fun to drive in this ice than the evo. firstly, RWD owns for getting the back end out. secondly, its not my car haha.

Yeah Mitch, I totally slid all over my school's parking lot. I'm there at 7 am with nobody in it, and its full of ice. My car is DIRTY AS HELL, i've got the x-treme snow rally look going, its a lot dirtier than when I was at your house last.

I remember last year when we had a snowstorm in NYC where the snow was as high as the top of the tires on the evo. This year all we have is rain because the weather has been too damn warm.

Mitch - I definitley entertained myself driving to work in Lake Forest this morning and saw 3 car accidents which were all read ends as I gripped comfortably onto the slick roads on route 60. Gotta love the power of AWD.

In the ice storm, I saw a bunch of cars stuck going uphill. Including 2 cops. I just passed them on the shoulder with no problem. Why stop if I'm on a roll.
