My Neighbors Son
We're not hating 17 year olds who get Evos from their parents (some do, but not in this thread). We're hating on the people who get nicer and nicer cars when they screw up. Please don't say his parents should buy him a Z06 now... then after a week or so after he totals that an F430...
OK it's been two months and the repaired EVO is back (it looks great). My neighbor (a car guy with a tweaked Audi A4) are taking bets on next accident date. The dreaded 17 year old speed demon went ripping out of our neighborhood last night. Hang onto your insurance rates.

Why not go over and talk to him and/or his parents....if they dont believe you get footage as proof. Even though it may seem like you're tattle-telling you could be in fact saving several lives: the kid's and any innocent bystanders.
Rewarding bad driving... seriously, if you were that kid, and everytime you totalled a car your parents traded you up, wouldn't you be looking for a way to trash the evo? Just six more accidents and it's Bugatti land
Its understandable that would happen becauase at that age you really dont think for the future but rather only think in the present. His parents may not have known what they purchased for him or I don't think he would have gotten that car. There also isn't much you can do to change their demeaner. I do remember a series a while back called scared straight which had convicts in prison literally "scare" the kids into amending their ways. For those of you have have been around long enough to remember that knows even on tv it was scary.

I hate these kind of car buying instances! Just last month My Grandmother was "blinded by the sun" and just drove off into the ditch and totaled her Geo Prizm. So what does Grandpa do? Goes out and buys her a brand new Mazda 3 S Touring and puts her right back behind the wheel.
I told her she needs to keep her sunglasses in the car. Later I'm over mowing their lawn on a bright cloudless day and see them backing out the drive w/o glasses. I wave her down and ask her to put them on. She tells me where they're at in the house. I literally run to go get them. When I get back outside, she's gone!

I had a mom approach me once in a parking lot to ask me how I liked my car and was telling me that her son wanted one. I asked how old he was and she said 16. I told her that an Evo is not a good first car, yes they are a very well handling car but in the wrong, un-experienced hands can be dangerous, and here is a good example.
